Oh I'll have to post a photo dump soon. So far I've successfully printed: the AR, DMR, reach grenade launcher, magnum, rail gun, SAW, SMG, and shotgun. I've got quite the armory stowed away in my closet right now haha
Might want to redownload the files. I'm printing the saw right now and did part 18 yesterday. The numbering on the exploded view of the SAW doesn't match the file numbers btw. So just for clarity is it part 18 in the pics or file 18?
EDIT: I went ahead and reconstructed the entire thing in...
Here's my work for a halo 5 SMG if anyone is interested in it. Sliced and ready to print with a functioning fore grip. It's roughly 80% of it's in game size to make it more comfortable to handle.

This is absolutely amazing. One day when I have the funds I hope to do something similar and have my degree (mechanical engineer) and love for prop building come together for something like this. You are doing amazing work and thanks for the inspiration!
These are a huge help to me! Was trying desperately to find someone to commission for these but to no avail and I don't have the proper skillset myself to take it all upon myself. With these templates though I'm going to try a few modifications to the design and take a crack at them! Keep up the...
yeah the halo weapons are humongous, seemingly even for 7' tall giants sometimes. A lot of these discrepencies come down to miscommunication between art and story departments I imagine, not to mention the fact these aren't exactly realistic weapons. I just scaled to what the barrel would be...
So been working on the reach grenade launcher this week. (sorry for no images I'll try and get some soon) I think there's an issue with your scaling. When I looked it up it said that it's a 40 mm launcher so the model seems to be way oversized. I'm printing it at 72.7% scale to get the 40mm...
So I tried to be a productive member and modify the magnum into the gun fighter version in inventor but ran into geometry errors that won't let me edit the middle section of the slide. I've created and am printing the front section however. Any chance you're able to get files of the gunfighter...
So these had me so excited I finally went and got my own printer. What kind of recommendations does everyone have on print settings for things like these? I'm still getting my bearings and wasn't expecting the learning curve to be quite this steep. Can't wait to get the shotgun printed first!
