Hello Spartans, ODST's, Marines and everyone else.

As 18 members voted positive in regards to our intend to start the PrintPool system, we are now officially launched. :D
It will be a learning experience, for all of us, but I hope -no strike that- I KNOW it will be a fantastic voyage for everyone of us.

As all beginnings are difficult, this is no different. What this topic will do is to present currently already produced pieces. This way, you guys can see what stuff we've made so far, and you'll have a good idea what to expect when ordering a part. This thread will grow as we print out new and more stuff, and it will be both a showcase to what we can do as a way to prevent answering the same questions all over again. :)

So pop in regularly, we'll be constantly building and expanding our range

Important : allthough PLA is stated as standard build material, all props will be printed in ABS+ as of now, due to the superior material behavior and much easier post processing nature of the material.

Next one : MA5D The most recent incarnation of what is probably the iconic Halo weapon bar none.

Description :
- resized to 90cm -other sizes available at will-. Weights about 1,1 KG. Pla Printed part, ,2 layer height
- comes as a multiprint part, typically 5 parts. Easy assembly using peg&hole system
- comes unassembled, unprocessed, not glued. Example shown in picture : Cmdr Palmers' own MA5D
- static prop. Dummy Tac Flashlight, is easy to replace by a real light source if so wanted.
- credit : original file retrieved Myminifactory. Credited Author according to description : Emil Slavkovski
While we made use of the precut files as base, Mr. Slavkovski had sliced this gun to fit a typical Makerbot/Ultimaker type of machine, choosing to print on a flat surface to minimze waste. The result was an about 26 part printjob which did not take any advantage of the superior Z-axis resolution. We reassembled the gun into one piece, and recut it to allow for a nicer, much more detailed print although the model itself was perfectly good.
- cost : 60€, exclusive P&P
