Im working on my recon helmet to but its in the bondo stage and i used the smoothed file. Good work on the pepping though!

Thanx everyone. The hardest part so far has been around the front, alot of little folds there.
SLane: I actually had it upside down there one time and thought it would make a great cereal bowl.LOL

OK sorry for the double post but it would not let me edit my post.
So I got watching The Stand by Steven King and ended up finishing the helm. I re-sized it to fit with padding but it came out on the small side. It will fit with a min of padding but it's not right so I will have to build another one. Wont be to hard to finish another, this one I might go through the proses of finishing it for the practice and put it on the shelf when I'm done.

John, the smoothed version of the helm is just a lot less pep folds. All it is, is they take the small peices, and make them a little larger, to the point where it still looks the same. The ONLY difference is that you spend less time in the first place, folding, and lastly, sanding. It doesn't matter, but if you are going to make a new one, I would go for the smoothed. Just a little quicker. If you got this file from the Wiki page, it's literally RIGHT next to the first helm. I'll post the link, I just happen to have the Sp'laser file opened. It seems to me, you have inspired my first official Pep build. (It's my first official, because I haven't used Cardstock yet)

This kind of behaviour will get you no where on here.
And who are you to criticise him? He's kidding, and saying that he's really excited to be getting a helmet. Have a sense of humor dude. You don't need to bash on someone who's excited and ruin their day.
Anyways, your build is looking greatt. I plan to build the smoothed recon file, so if you haven't already done so by the time i'm done, I can show you. But be warned that it might be a little warped due to the fact that I can't receive any cardstock at this time.

Recon is looking sick man, I wanna do one now, but I'm falling behind on my build with side projects as it is. Keep it up!
Hey it's James. I have OFICIALLY started my own armour peice!!!!!! It's the Recon shoulder. I don't know if you remember but earlier I was talking about making a shoulder out of the same stuff and putting the 405th logo on it, in stead of an emblem... (Which would be nothing, my Halo 2, 3, ODST, Reach emblem) [Beta]

Alright well awesome John. Anyways, HE STARTED IT! lol. Anyway, finished my shoulder. Took a CRAPTON of pics. I'm gonna post a new thread when they upload. I need to find a painting scheme, and learn how to do that. I hope Ben Streeper has a vid on it. I think it was a picture of yours but if not, fine. How did you get the 405th logo on a peice of armour? Well, thanks for all your help.
Oh ok. Well Is there any way I can get the logo? I want to put it on the shoulder...... Which by the way I finished!!!! Look at my profile and click veiw all started threads to find it. It's awesome!
Also, how do you resize pep files? I only have Pepakura 3, but I haven't seen a button to "Resize." I want to *TRY* making my own helmet. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT I WANT YOU TO STOP PEPING MY HELMET!!!!!!! OR RESINING, OR RONDOING, OR WHATEVER!!!!!!!!!!!! I just want to try to make my helmet. By myself. It's going to suck. But I want to try. Please help me Resize it, I am going to print one like RIGHT NOW right now, but I don't know how to size it so it will be way off. I hope my uncle has enough ink to do a second..... *yikes* lol
