New Models for The community

I have some new models for the community, unfolded by darknemises so a huge thank you to him. Here you go

This should probably be in the 3d modeling section, but i dont have privileges for that. You probably need to be an infantryman. How do you become one? And i hope a nice administrator would move this thread.
I took the AR off because of a long story because dark nemisis gave me riders model not my own.

The model and unfold look identical to the one made by Rid3r and unfolded by carpathiavh99. This is not looking good for you. Unless you're Rid3r, the mods are not going to like this.

Ok. I am going to kill Darknemisis for this. My model looked nothing like his unfold. If you want to see, heres the link. It looks NOTHING like the unfold. He probably just stole it rather than unfolding my model.

Spartan-279... you posted the unfold therefore you are responsible for its origins and any associated claims you make to ownership. If you are going to allow people access to your models for unfolding purposes, I suggest you verify their work before you post them.

And I commented in the other thread that you posted this in and saying how good it looked. I would not have recognized if it was someone else's file since I don't have any other Reach AR files. I also tried to check out the one that you said WAS yours and none of my programs can open it.

How did you get a .SKP file out of Blender?

Just curious how you pulled that off.... it's not a native Blender format i am familiar with...

no you can ask spartan his was unfolded by myself... i gave no claims to that ar, i unfolded all of his files he sent me but i was working on unfolding his ar, so while i was unfolding his I sent rider's AR to him so he could begin his build,,, after I finished unfolding spartans I sent it to him... He didnt know what was going on because evidently he did not recieve my email... So dont take him posting that AR out of context because he nor I are claiming the AR he uploaded, it was simply for him to begin his own build until I unfolded his AR.... all of the files have been unfolded by myself besides riders ar which should not have been posted as stated in the email he must not have read..

What happened is that he made it in bender and used sketchup to texture it... when i got the files I had to eport a .dae and open in mesh lab and save as a .3ds and open with pep and sliced and smoothed and unfolded then saved it to .pdo

Wow, I think that's the longest post you have made so far...

Anyways. Would the two of you mind posting the PDO with the unfolded model? That's what the thread is all about, after all.

Spase already made his ruling so it's now just a matter between you and darknemisis.

I had a chance to look at your model and it's more pep-friendly than Rid3r's. I have a few comments about it:

There's a big missing face on the left side of the rifle but I easily patched it up in SketchUp.
When I opened the .dae file in PD3, the faces are gray even when the texture is turned off. And even when flipped, the faces remain gray. I don't know what's going on but one side of the faces has to be white.
There are a few intersecting planes inside the model that need to be removed or cleaned before it can be unfolded.

These are some of the "issues" I've seen so far.

Why would you send Spartan rid3r's file for his build if he went to the trouble of doing his own model? Maybe I am not reading your jibberish right... but that seems odd to me?????

yeah spartans ar is nice but not that clean..... a very hard unfold

i sent it to him so he could begin his build while i was unfolding his mess... they both look alot alike as I stated he could begin the stock of the gun.... plus cujo3131 you know im legit because you got a password for pepakura designer from me a few days ago... so yeah.. you all need to stop making a big deal out of nothing.. no one was "stealing" "copying" or anything else.
