Props halo flame bomb / flame grenade wip UPDATE 06/04/11

its been a while since i have posted something way back i after making my frag grenade i started on this flame grenade at first i was planning on going with pep so i did my own 3d model and imported it into pepakura and unfolded any everything. i glued it together and resined it but then i started with my M6C/SOCOM and i put it aside. then i came across a site that did 3d printing so i sliced my model in half hollowed it out and cut it into 4 interlockable parts about 2 weeks later they came in. i reinforced the parts with apoxie sculpt since the parts had 0.05 of an inch wall thinkness. i molded everything in mold max 27t and rebound 25. top and bottom are cast in smooth cast 320 and middle is cast in smooth cast 325. the cool thing about smooth cast 325 is that it is clear so i tinted it orange.

well glued everything together and filled in the joints and added some paint
everything fitted together with no problems







painted every thing with silver paint and then gave it a wash with black paint
i think it can out beautiful what do you guys think















the electronics
two white leds powered by to button batteries with a simple push button
i want do upgrade the electronics so i dont have to open it up to turn it on. also mayebe a have a real battery holder

pretty cool, and its lights are really cool. but the grenade must be hot on impact.

Awesome Maybe you could try to make the switch as a spinner like in certain flashlights (turning the bulb part).
