Tsaboc ODST build (multiple methods)

So I've been working on my ODST for a long time now, and just as many of you probably do, I work on it on/off. However, when I found out last Sunday that Thorssoli was hosting a booth at the Maker's Faire, 10 minutes from my residence, I turned on sensei mode and worked 6-7 hours a day for 5 days to get it done.
This suit is essentially a Hugh/Bradley ODST because a couple parts I got from Sean Bradley, prop genius, and the rest of the suit are Hugh Holder's amazing files. Great work! I decided to try foam for the chest core; it seemed more practical to me. This means the suit has polyurethane casts, vacu-formed HIPS, EVA foam, and your classic pep method. I'll let the photos speak now

It was quite an honor to meet Thorssoli, who really outdid himself this weekend.

You might want to add a neck seal, but other than that... Yeah looks great! :D
Yeah, I added one in these pictures in this post, thanks!

Awesome ODST suit! It really came together beautifully, and the paint job is excellent on top of all that. May I ask how the UNSC logo was done?

Also, you look pretty tall, you seem like you can pull of a Spartan really well!

Wow man, good job, I hope mine turns out as well as yours!

And I have a suggestion: to make the "undersuit" less saggy, you could replace the shirt with a good 'ol thermal suit :p

Wow that is some top notch stuff there. Most ODST builds I see are lacking in the armor department with lots of undersuit showing through, yours however seems to be an exception. Really great work!

Hope you had a great time with Thorssoli at the fair, looks like it was a blast!

Also, this is kind of odd but how tall are you? You tower over everyone else there.

Your suit looks great! Might I ask which color of paint you chose? It looks like a really nice brushed metal and looks great in pictures too!

Thanks for the feedback guys!

To answer some questions
@Tsau-mia I used Dupli-color gunmetal metallic paint for the suit. It's the best color around.

@Darkrider 9 I am 6'4". I quote Thorssoli,
"Both of these girls are about 5'4" tall. I picked short people to be in the Marine costumes that weekend so my Spartans would look bigger. Still, Tsaboc is just ridiculously tall.
Seriously, shortly after this pic was taken, one of the girls came back to the booth and said, "there's some Asian guy in a costume looking for you. He's like twelve feet tall." Funny stuff."

@Spitfire, I'll let the pictures do the talking.

I first cut out the shape of the logo out of cardstock

Then I spray a layer of white enamel on the surface

I then use a glue stick to put the stencil on the surface

Spray black all over it

Once dry, remove the stencil ( I did a really quick, effortless tutorial, I didn't even have a working glue stick)

Then took a thin sharpie to add little details. Looks really great looking at it from at least a foot away.

Dude!!! You did a fantastic job on this. I like the foam idea for the chest core. Also, I was wondering whose ODST this was when I saw it on facebook. I believe it floating around on some of my friends mobile upload pictures from the makers faire. Also, I didn't realize you were so tall. You can definitely be a spartan, lol. Anyways, great work my man!

Actually, that's one of Hugh's helmets with a Sean Bradley visor installed.

To paint, I simply primed the pieces black then used Dupli-color Gunmetal Metallic spray paint. It's the best there is.
Some of the pieces I gave a battle damage look by spraying a brush with aluminum silver spray paint, then simply lightly brushing the edges of each part.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys, it means a lot!

Oh my bad, I do see it now. I just assumed that all the "pre-fabricated" (as in the completed pieces that aren't in the pep collage picture) pieces were Bradley's and that all the peps were Hugh's.

No worries! Here's a closer look for you all

This was before I added little foamie details to the helmet, I'll post those later.

the link is broken to his thread. shame. i want to go there to.
anyway, this armour is awesome. i am so jealous of how you made it look so easy to make the chest! and that stuff seems to fit you really really well.
and loving the victorian hat. should have taken that and used it XD

Hey thanks, your feedback means a lot! And I was a bit surprised that the standard scaling for everything fit just right on me, since I'm so tall.
What do you mean by the link to the thread is broken?
