Hey 405th, I finally started my first build!(If you go to my profile, ignore the first 2 threads) I'm wanting to have something unique, so I'm gonna layer armor pieces: the Collar/Breacher, and the Assault/Sapper. Also, I'm really fond of these shins and boots, so I would like to ask someone to please model them for me. Also, as a sidenote, I've been having issues with Vanity, so I started drawing what I wanted. Enjoy what I have so far!

Okay, I didn't give you a very detailed description of my character at first, so I'll remedy that. Alrighty then! My spartan will be Ivan-057, who is pretty much a tank, like Jorge. I'm not going to make a story behind him, just for sanity's sake.Seeing as I usually spam with the plasma turret, I'm probably going to build one, along with a modified Nerf Recon/ MA5B Assault Rifle.

Alright, I finally got Vanity up and running, so, sit back and enjoy my spartan!

Now, remember, I want to have the Assault/Sapper over the collar, but vanity won't allow that. So, just use your

I cant wait to see this build progress good luck with it LCBeagle! Out of curiosity are you using foam, pep, or a combination?

I'm using foam for the armor, and I'm probably going to pep the helmet, although that depends on what helmet I use. I have another pic of the armor, and I added all the stripes I wanted. I'll get that up as soon as I can. Thanks for the feedback Freezer!

Alright, pardon the double post, but I have a helmet update. The MK V helmet was just for show on the vanity picture. I'm going to do an EOD helmet, but with the center add-on seen here(It's a REALLY big picture so I had to use a link, or it wouldn't show up correctly) Also, I'm going to build some sort of eyepiece, similar to the lighter gray area on the GUNGNIR helmet, only it will be able to rotate up and down, and will only cover half of the visor when down. I don't have any pictures of what I plan for it to look like, but I'll get those up here pretty soon.

Hey everybody, sorry about the lack of posts, I've been busy with other stuff. Alright, back to business. While I was gone, I started looking at some pictures, this and this. While looking at the first picture, I got an idea for building the rocket launcher that the Spartan on the left is carrying. Then, I decided to make a non mounted, handheld version of the MG460 Automatic Grenade Launcher. I made a quick sketch of it, as you can see here. I took the picture with my Ipod, and it's only about 3 inches, so sorry about the poor quality. Also, I made a drawing of my Spartan, in all of his unorthodox, brute armored glory. Oh, and as I said in the last post, I have a picture of the modified GUNGNIR attachment.

Hey, 405thers,
I LIKE FEEDBACK.
It's kind of depressing to put a ton of effort into something, and then no one even says anything. Now, that aside, I actually have some real content. I made a small pouch for my belt out of foam, it's still pretty rough, but it looks okay. Sorry, but I don't have any pictures this time, you'll have to wait about three days for those.

I can't see any progress picture (which, personally, I like to see when I read a thread), but I love the ideas and especially love the sketches/creativity.

Consider me subscribed and waiting for the end product (and just as importantly, if not more, the journey there).

Hope that's enough feedback for you , Squish

EDIT: I played reach a couple of weeks ago and was using those turret grenade launcher thingy ma bobs and wondered why no one had built one yet, they're awesome. Again, I'm excited by the sketches and the ideas, keep us posted).

Whilst I agree with the lack of progress pictures, I must say...this...concept...is...

Ive actually been thinking of adding similar mods to my Commando build myself. Keep it up, Spartan. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Thank you, I haven't had any progress pictures because I don't have any templates. At my dad's house, we have a printer connected to a computer, but the computer isn't connected to the internet. At my mom's, the printer is off limits to kids. If you look at the Vanity picture, some parts of that have changed. As I played and unlocked armor, my armor layout changed as well. Now, the right shoulder will be operator, knees will be grenadier, and the second chestplate will be UA/Counterassault, and I might throw some Halo 4 into my boots. The pouch was freehanded, and I am currently planning on having a loopy bit come off of the pouch, which a bunch of grenades would hang from. Hopefully I'll have pictures up next post, and thank you for the compliments and motivation!
Oh yeah! A couple weeks ago, I was playing some SWAT, and I got teamed up with these two dudes, one of which had armor that was COMPLETELY IDENTICAL to mine. We had different colors and emblems, but that was THE ONLY DIFFERENCE. Has something like that ever happened to any of you guys? It was pretty neat, seeing that though...

By progress pics, we mean pictures of what you've actually built. As in the physical stuff that you would wear. You'll get a lot more posts/comments with those pics in your thread. Good luck.

The idea looks quite interesting and complex, but if you can pull it off I think it will look amazing. Looking forward to seeing those pictures soon

Thanks, theBR1T1SHkid and Hyundai, I appreciate the compliments. I haven't got much done, and it'll be even more difficult with school going, but I'm pretty sure I can pull off my 1st suit in three and a half months.

Alright, I finally have some progress pictures. Thus far, I haven't been able to get files, so I've been free handing some stuff.

Spartan IIII style undersuit. I made this this morning, so nothing is glued together yet.

As you have probably realized before I did, I cannot POSSIBLY finish an entire suit in under 40 days. Rather than keep beating a dead horse, I'm going to save IVAN S057 for later. Instead, I'm going to whip up this as quickly as I can, without sacrificing detail for time. I'll probably just go without a helmet, since the chest/knees/shoulders are my main focus. I'm also likely to use a 3D Printer to get a Magnum and Plasma Pistol. Thoughts on my new suit plan?
