After seeing this and have made a Mk VI using this file, I want to make mine look this good!
I only made a few minor modifications to the files. Most of the detail I added afterwords. You should be able to do it pretty easily.
Hey Justinian, great build! By chance, I have recently be granted access to a 30W laser cutter. I was wondering how thick the foam you used was, and the settings you used for cutting the foam. Thanks a lot!
I can cut up to 1/2" thick foam. I have a 50W laser, so you may need to to play with the settings. I run mine at 30% power and 10% speed. I make multiple passes to get through the desired thickness.
*gasps* how the heck have a i missed all of this!! very awesome Justin!
How have you missed this? I have been working on it for over a year lol.
looks great bud! I like the idea of the wireless receiver, might have to give that a go.
The wireless mic made such a huge difference. I highly recommend it.
Hey JUSTINIAN, it's been a while since I've been active around the forums and I can see that the site's not the only new thing around here. I love your new suit, it looks amazing. I especially love the look of the ridging you have here in
post 63, it's new and different a nice distinction from the usual toilet plungers.
Great Job man

Thanks. I am pretty pleased with the ridging. It holds up good, and is flexible.
Very nice! I need to get me some access to a laser cutter and a 3D Printer. I love making my stuff by hand but the time it takes is the downfall.
how did the electronic ear protection work to hear others? I've been brainstorming on what to do for an exterior mic so I can hear others. I use a set of those muffs when I shoot real steel and they make your hearing superhuman! I can hear people breathing, hear the TV from 3 rooms away, but I wasn't sure they'd work. Love to hear how it worked for ya.
A laser cutter and 3D printer make a big difference with time, but there is still a lot of finishing work required. As for the ear protection, it didn't work well. This was a very cheap pair, and it didn't filter out the loud noises, it would just turn off at a certain decibel. I ended up not using any of it. I higher end pair of noise cancelling ear muffs would work great though. I just didn't want to spend the money, just to rip them apart.
Dragon Con was a success! I got to hang out with a lot of great people, and meet some new people, finally. Here are some pictures that were taken of the suit.
The classic Halo 2 pose.
405th photoshoot.
And finally a Stony Props picture. Jim's got the gravity hammer, and Walter has his Destiny suit.
Everything worked out so perfectly, that I may be finished with this build. I think a photo shoot is in order.
