Hey guys/gals this is my progress on my halo 4 Recon.

I am super excited for this build. I have been trying to figure out a way to do this for close to a year. And I'm just now getting started. All the

finished products will be below, but as always follow me until the very end to see my hard work. Thank you guys.

UPDATE 8/2014

Armor is finished! Check some of the cool photos and progress below :)

Helmet done. June 26th, 2014.

I am making this armor the color of the ghost from the halo series. Almost like a purple/ blue. The pictures don't do justice. But enjoy this little example of what's to come.

you have a great idea as to what you're doing! Cant wait to see how it works out!

Thank you. Im in for a lot of work, but to be honest its not hard at all. I just ordered a black wet suit and boots/ gloves. So im hoping this project will get rolling. Im waiting for the latex to cure on the groin plate still.

Spin piece, pretty good. had to cut down the center for the zipper, but looks good.
CAM00054_zps8a2131d2.jpg
Adding to the front, looks good, still need to mold/cast
CAM00055_zps85e544ee.jpg
Up close texture of the upper torso. the rest of the torso will not be done because it's under the armor so i can breath. But the rest of the stomach section will be.

The torso is pretty much done, almost done with my under suit for this build. I'm pretty excited. Also to note that the creases that you see, with be stitched and smoothed out. The back, boots, and neck need to be done still.

TADA! another update: May 14th

So i managed to seal and connect everything really nice on the under suit. Yhe back is now done and all I have left is the thigh pieces. Pretty pumped guys.

Side, as you can all see where i connected the back pieces. When the latex dries it will blend.
CAM00089_zps9e2e578f.jpg
And the back. I'm very excited how this turned out. The shiny pieces will all turn matte black when dry so no worries. The zipper has full function and the wetduit with the latex has great flexibility. I'm so excited to see some armor on this.

Ok, so as of today i re started. I didnt re sculpt, but i did re cast and re attach it to the wet suit. The reason being, is that as you can see in the pictures there where tears and the latex is stretched to far to see any detail. I decided it was too thin and that i would apply it differant. So as of today the detail is much better and the actual undersuit looks WAY better. Ill have pictures up in the morning.

This is a really great undersuit here. Can't wait to see the new piece, especially if it's better than what you already made and posted. It looks sweet already!

Thank you! Yes, the casts wern't bad but the way that i attached them was. I just decided i'd pour the latex in thicker so i could get more durible pieces. And also the detail will hold when i put it on. Stay tuned, trust me im working hard.

wouldnt be the wetsuit freaking hot while wearing it in summer? fabric and foam are hot also, but a sealed wetsuit is for diving, windsurfing and so on :) neopren isolate the heat inside the suit and you getting a heatstroke while wearing the armor and the wetsuit.

Surprisingly no, I actually decided to go with a brand that has a breathable chest so that i can actually sweat. It's not really a wet suit either it's a Full suit, so more like a full swimsuit. But anyway the gray that you see is actually something called "water neoprene" or something. so it's more breathable.

Anyway so here's the pictures i promised. It looks SOO much better.

Front with it on.

Front with it off.

I'm still working on the back. It turns out that i didn't do a great job on measuring. So the spine is in the same spot, but the pieces that attach to it are a good 2 inches away from where they should be. So i have to do a little bit of improve. I think what i'm going to do is use the old pieces that where thin and use them to seal the 2 inches in between. But I have to do it so it looks good of course.
