REACH Marine/Trooper foam build :-)

Greetings everyone,
Its been a while since I have posted anything. Last thread i made i think was the Loki helmet i was making for my mom. I still have not finished that one due to issues, but soon lol.

So i started making a Reach marine/troops build so i could go to the Halo 5 release with fellow member blajew here on the forums. Ive already made some peices and he keeps nagging me about making a thread so here it is lol.
So on to what you really came to see THE PICTURES!!

So here are the shins cut out of the foam.

Here is one shin (without knee) on my leg. I know it looks a little small (at least to me) but its sized for my leg so im running with it lol.

Here is the first knee

Okay so now we got both shins (knees included) finished being built.

Thighs

So far thats all i have built, and i dont think its to shabby so far

Up next is some sketches i drew up of the torso armor. I will be cutting these out this week if i get a chance and then transfer them to foam.

I have more pictures on my phone, but forgot to upload them. Ill post them later after i upload them.
Let me know what you guys think.

Ill try and keep posting on a regular basis, just depends on some life stuff going on right now lol.

oh sorry for the pics by the way, they might be blurry due to camera. I will try and start using my tablet to take pictures and see how they look.

Dude!!! That's awesome you finally got this going, I know you send me all the pics but still good to see it's up. Glad you didn't post the (butt) photo..lol, Hope we are still on for this week looking forward to getting more work done on this and seeing up close.

LOL yeah i figured id post it since you kept nagging me

and yeah i didnt want people to get confused by the picture lol. I'm totally still on for this week. Ill make sure to bring the stuff over. I also have some things for you to bring over as well muhahahaha!

So this means there will propbably be more pictures of this build later this week for all of you guys to see!

Im trying lol. i just cut out the patterns i made for the torso armor i drew up the other day. Now to transfer them to paper then foam. or maybe right to foam, we shall see lol

Okay everyone! I have more PROGRESS!!!! lol

Just some stuff i did in the last two days.

Mostly added some details and cut pieces out. Not much more to do to the armor aside from putting it together, adding a few more details and then painting it.
Shoutout to blajew for letting me come over and work on stuff with him at his place yesterday.

Guess what! Its me again with more pictures... Ive been busy tonight lol. The advantage to working the late shift, on your day off you are up all night crafting XD.

Okay so i got some pics of assembling the chest piece and then trying it on

HERE WE GO!!!!!

Starting to assemble

Trying on. The side parts are attached via tape right now for test fitting. I will probably glue the back part together then maybe use clips for the front not sure yet. I was able to slip it over my head pretty easy, but with my camos, im not sure ill be able to lol.

I took two pics of the back so i could get a better view at each side

. Also, i know there is a little gap around the back, but when i put my camos on then it should be fine. It was pretty comfy to wear for a little bit. Pretty good mobility minus not being able to cross my arm in front of me lol.

AND ITS NOW TIME FOR AN UPDATE!!!!! (FINALLY)

Hey everyone, sorry its been so long since ive updated. I moved and its taken a little longer to get my stuff together than i thought. I honestly have not even finished but i really wanted to work on my armor so i moved everything to get to it lol. Anyways... I did some plasti-dipping today of my pieces. Im going to try and paint them tomorrow if i like how the 3 coats of plasti-dip took.

NOW FOR PICTURES!
These pictures are only the first coat so it might not look to well at this point. Like i stated above, i have done 3 to them all.

Funny thing is that it seems like i have so much to do still, but honestly all i have left is paint and strapping for all the pieces ive built. I have two weeks to finish and i think ill be good

Okay so i had a chance to paint my torso today. Then i promptly ran out of paint lol. Its okay though, it was an old can ive used before. Im going to go and pic some more up tomorrow and try and continue painting

Here is the front, it came out pretty bright due to the light.

Back part, i think i was blocking the light on this one. Hence why it looks darker.

Not to shabby if i saw so myself

Dude!!! I know you send me all the pics but they look so much better on your thread...lol... We need to get together and get this bad boy rapped up (I know I can't say much, hell I never did my own thread on my build but we are talking about you not me). Still looks sweet and stoked about it.
