idk why i haven't seen one of these yet but here we go heres my take on the halo 2 scarab

I too prefer the H2 scarab(looks powerfuler) ,I was mad when they put the H3 vevsion in halowars.Anyway areyou
planning on unfoldin it cuz I for one would love to make this and hang it from my ceiling

Great start! I too think that they "nerfed" the Scarabs in H3... but, it was still a good feeling to actually be able to take one of those big f'ers down. Heh, Snowspeeders and AT-AT's anyone?

But didn't you just download that off of the Google Sketchup Warehouse? I've seen it there quite a lot.

I'm afraid that Nugget is right. I downloaded Collin L's model from Google 3D Warehouse and when I imported it to Pep Designer, it looks exactly like major_pain's model, right down to the open edges and shaded faces.

Looks great just with a little more detail and it will turn out great you should try to do the Halo 3 version my opinion is that one is much better.

oh my sweet jesus. that looks awesome! it wouldn't hurt to add a bit o detail but at least you were the first to attempt a scarab pep .

Great model so far! What scale are you planing on making it to? It would be awesome to have a mini scarab for the desk, or to have a huge one as a centerpiece!
