I recently saw TRON Legacy i thought it was a great movie, anybody else got some insight on the movie? Though i have to say that movie is in my top 10 fav movies

moved!

And i saw it in pre-première. One of my buddies who works at a radiostation here gave me tickets. It was actually meant for a review on the radio/website but he had already seen it.
It was an amazing movie. I loved how Flyn's younger version looked. Currently the best cgi i have seen. Digging the storyline to.

I watched it I also bought a few posters from a few of the movie theathers around here. They cost me 50 each but they were worth it. I even managed to get a couple of the posters with the lightcycle on them, Yellow and Blue.

I saw it on the 16 December 2010....Torrent?NOPE!!!! It actually came out on the 16th in Malaysia, Watch it in what is told to be 3D(its actually 4D) :)

Anyone have good pics of the helmets? Rinzler mostly. The high gloss and dark reflections make it hard to tell the shape. I have a good profile shot, but it's a bit dark.

I want Clu's helmet....My sister ask me to help her make a Quorra costume:/ Thank god she only need my help on the helmet. Anyways, Rundown has a modeled, unfolded helmet for Clu, Quorra, Rinzler/Tron.....Yes they are at a price :/

I dont know about you guys but im hoping they make a second one that would be pretty cool i mean for instance how about one of the programs got out and somehow restarted the game i mean it cant just end where it did and i also noticed that the character tron didnt die he fell into the water and changed from orange to blue so that kinda made me think they might make a second

P.S.

I dont know how you think but i liked Quorra and sam they were my fav characters and if tron were real sam flynn is lucky he got a computerized girlfriend who became real i mean wy cant i be that lucky :p

Ya mean, a third. ;)

I enjoyed Tron greatly. So far, I've seen it in Imax 3D and regular 3D. Need to hit it up in 2D to see what the differences are. I've been told Clu's graphics were better in 2D. It still had it's faults, but it's eye candy and I loved the first Tron. I would imagine they will do a third with how well this one did. Gonna try and do a custom costume based off the blackguard.

I saw it and it was awesome!
Though I have to say I was disapointed in one specific thing, how much the grid was like the real world. The rock formations, the dirt, the fact that that sam still had his real clothes on when he was brought into the computer and how the light cycles weren't forced onto straight paths in the combat arena (though it was pretty bad***). . . I liked the total computer look of the first movie much better.

Other than that I thought that the movie was incredible and I plan on getting it on DVD eventually. . .
Also, Light jets FTW!

I also really like the innumerable references to the first movie (Sarc's ship, Big door quote, solar simulator, the two light cyclers cutting off the single opponent. . . the list goes on)

I'll add you two more references. 1) A tribute to dumont from the original is found on the garage door of Sams apartment. Dumont is the logo on the door. and 2) The End of Line club is named after the phrase that the MCP always ended his conversations with.

End of Line. :p

the fact that that sam still had his real clothes on when he was brought into the computer

That didn't irk me. Since he can be scanned in, I don't know why his clothes wouldn't be able to. Him having the same clothes on when he left though... That was a head scratcher.

The Dumont reference ALSO goes back to a quote from Dumont in the original movie... when he is arguing with Dillinger about access and says that he started ENCOM in his GARAGE... and Dillinger tells him he can put him back there again.... Maybe Sam is actually living in the birthplace of ENCOM itself....

Yeah, the Dumont thing refers to the IO tower gaurd, the Dumont in the real world was a shipping company = input output, so there's how that connects.
I personally loved it, I saw it opening day( And i saw the original when i was like 7, so I'm a long time fan). The second time I saw it I brought my sad little toys-r-us identity disc, it felt better.
To address the sequel question, the writers have been hired to pen a sequel to it, none of the actors are hired yet but the script is in the works.

I enjoyed TRON Legacy with all my heart, I really can't explain what was so appealing about it to me, but I feel some kind of attachment to the movie; similar to the attachment you felt after watching Star Wars or playing through the Halo series :)

Saw it. Loved It. Working out blueprints for suit. End of story. ;)

I actually was amazed by the visuals even though the story was lacking. As I haven't seen the original, how would y'all say it compared/continued the story?

Cheers!
