Props BenStreeper's Halo Reach Spartan Laser Build

Decided I should break this away into its own thread in the correct section. Pardon the multiposts but I'm just gonna quote the other threads start of this project so I don't have to re-write everything ;p

Got a Spartan laser pepped and hardened from a trade with SavvyTank of the 405th. Started cutting it up to make it modular and then decided with the amount of warping it had, and the excess amount of hot glue it would be easier and less costly to build it from scratch. So I printed out several 2d images of the new halo reach version and used my warped laser for scaling. I will post more pics of this as it progresses.

Alright on to the new stuff. Today I got some time to hammer out the grip's base form. here are some shots of the finished base form with no details yet. I'll add detail and a video of how I made this later

Right now it's actually pretty light. The base parts here are made out of layers of Pine, but because of the way the laser itself is designed the weight is pretty evenly distributed. I was really surprised at how easy it is to move around, although I'm not done yet ;p

More work done today. Finished base forms of everything left except the front handle and the plate for the laser on the inside of the cover. Will be doing detail work soon
