Hello everyone, this will be a separate thread from my Armor, and weapons thread. Reason being, is that this threads entirety will strictly focus on my Halo4 MC build. Which means, no more playing around. I've made up my mind that this will be my first full suit. Huge thanks to MikyVengeance for inspiration, and a special thanks to MasterBuilder for cleaning up, and providing the files!

Looking nice so far. How long did that take to fold/shape the helmet like that? I've always thought of making some Pepakura armor but it seems like it takes a long time to put together.

Thanks! To know for sure how long it takes, I would need a stop watch, and a note pad to keep track. For me doing a helmet I would say a few hours every other day within a month.

What kind of paper did you use? You work is very great! (I am a Chinese,so my English is not very good.)

Appreciate the comment! The paper that I use is Cardstock. Sure you can purchase it at any office supplies store, but I usually get it from Wal-Mart. The price of a pack of Cardstock is around $5.00.

Hi im new here and I want to build this helmet could you tell me where to get the file for it please!!

As of recent a fellow member has message me about scaling the MC helmet file from MasterBuilder. Thought this would be helpful to share with those who are attempting to pep this file, and trying to get the scaling right. Originally, the set scale for the height of the helmet was 300mm. At first, I scaled the height down to 280mm. If your wondering I didn't pep the whole helmet. Reason being is that would of been a total waist of time. (Keep this in mind, each helmet you decide to pep is unique in structure. The size of the neck opening may vary, whether it be the Warrior, Soldier, or MC helmet.) If you look to the picture below, the parts that are highlighted/selected is what I printed out first.(The ring with the yellow line going through it.)After printing, I assembled those parts then I took that ring of parts, and then put my head through it. Well, that first ring didn't didn't work to well. Was to small because of my big nose! So, I went back to the height of the helmet being 300mm, and left it at that. (After the ring test, feel free to print the rest of your parts, and then pep the rest of the helm. Depending on your body type, the helm may look a little big on you.(Don't be discouraged! You may need to have the rest of the armor on to get a good idea of proportioning.) Which is why I haven't posted a pick of me wearing it. Gonna wait to do that when I have the chest pepped to get a better look at the scaling. I definitely don't want to have to pep another helm. (Please refer to the picture above for further refererence.) Hope this helps with some of the guess work. If anyone has further questions to ask, don't hesitate to do so.

Yep, that's the exact same technique I had planned to use - come up with a scale that seems right, then pep only the neck opening and adjust scale as necessary. I know a lot of people trim the neck opening to fit their head through, but that can be gauged as well from assembling only a helmet's bottom ring.

If anyone was curious, I purposely left the bicep, and the shoulder piece separate. Having some foresight it would been a pain to bondo, and sand them if they were connected to each other, with little room to work with.

Thanks guys, appreciate the comments! I'll tell you this, it was quite a little bit of a journey pepping this, trying get this thing enclosed. Mainly on the shoulder part. Had 2 setbacks with the shoulder. I had 2 tabs break, and 2 tabs that literally were impossible to get to with the hot glue gun. Needless to say, moving on.

It's going good, as of right now I'm pretty much working on this by myself. I'm hoping to get some of my friends involved, to speed the build process. Maybe pass on some of my skills to them. While I'm assembling, maybe someone else can be gluing the tabs, scoring, or folding tabs. But ultimately I wouldn't trust anyone with the assembly part. Goal is to at least be close to finishing a full pep of the whole armor by the end of the year. If your curious to know where I'm at with the build, you can check my build progress at the beginning of my thread. Thanks for asking.
