Soft Parts Doctor Halsey - Younger Version

So.. For Scifi Valley Con i wanted to do a cloth costume. I wanted to be able to be in character with out being in heavy armor all weekend long. This led me to deciding to do Doctor Halsey. I got myhair cut to shoulder length. Grab lots of google images for refernece.

My next step was to go on a hunting expidition due to I knew my work load would not make it easy to make her outfit from scratch at this time. I will in the long term. So I went hunting for scrubs, and a lab coat.

I then had to do modifications to teh scrubs and lab coat. i have added material, added appliques and I had to lengthen the legs of the pants due to I got them used.

Tahat is first phase of the shirt. I then made the inner collar as a dicky.

Here it is all put together.

That looks really cool. If you ever get the chance you should put the pattern up for people to use. That would be a fun cosplay to do.

Update. I got the costume finished enough for SciFi valley con. That being said I personally am not satisfied with it, and it will be getting a major update sooner than later. One of my spartans Benton188 did get some pictures of me and did some photoshop with the background. here is the result

She has been busily working away in the sewing room improving on the current version while at the same time I am down in the workshop thumping away on improvements on my armor. I am going to have to get around to giving her armor a major face lift though soon. I think she is going to drive me nuts though with her figuring out what she needs to do to halsey to get it to the level she wants.

Halsey is tough. There are a lot of details that at first glance you don't notice. Ashuraa is well on her way to getting it to where she wants it to be.

Updated version. This is NOT a costume that I recommend doing the way I did, especially the lab coat. I honestly think it would have been easier to build the coat from scratch instead of using an already made coat and modifying it.
To see all the details you need to zoom into the pictures, otherwise you will miss details.

This gold one I could tell there was writing on it, but not what it said. I know it has the UNSC logo on the far side so I applied that. I left it blank otherwise.

The silver one I was able to make out that it has Halsey's name on it. I found a Halo font and utilized that.

Fixed the links. Now, much of the detailing you cannot see from a distance, but it is important to having this costume being able to be approved for tier, 3 which lets you become a face character deployment. I have not received my official tier, or if there is something else I forgot. I don't think I have, but you know how those things go. With the cloth costumes each seam, and placement of them is as important as the seams on the armors, if not more so, even if you cant see them from a distance, they have to be there for a proper fit.

I honestly will never suggest to anyone to try for a face character straight away unless they are very confident of their skills. There are other cloth costumes that can be put into tier 1 and 2, but not face characters, such as Halsey, Keyes, and such.

Thank you. I spent a few weeks on this. It helped and hurt using premade scrubs and lab coat. It was not easy doing the modifications. In many ways I honestly think making it from scratch would have been easier.
