Airsoft Battle Rifle Mod

So I was browsing through ebay today when I saw this airsoft gun.

And I thought to myself, this looks like it could be modded to make a great BR. If the bipod was removed and the appropriate parts were pepped, resined and attached, would it work? Any ideas or knowledge on this? I was seriously considering it .

Idk...It looks a bit long in the front to me. I think you could find better.

Hmmm... Almost anything is possible. I think that it would do better as one of the newer DMRs from Reach. The only problem, that I can possibly forsee, would be getting the magazine to work correctly (As I'm not sure how far out it juts.) If you do decide to do it, best of luck to and post some pics !

Not trying to be mean here, but I dont think that it would work. I think the best thing to do is to eather look for a similar rifle that looks more like a BR, or cut alot of pieces off from that gun, like the buttstock, and the rail. If you can level the top rail and bulk up the buttstock, add some details in and I think it might work. But just incase you might want to find another backup rifle incase you change your mind.

Dont try it unless you know what you are doing, and you aren't. You have to know how to work through the internals of an airsoft gun, and that gun will break. Quick.

yes that is the XM8 and judging by the $30 price tag it is spring, or a cheap plastic gearbox AEG.

I really don't think it would be worth it. A better idea might be to strip the shell completely, and put the innards in a pep BR. I don;t know if they sell kits to make custom airsoft guns, I doubt it, but perhaps you could fine something on Ebay? Say the casing is cracked or something? Just a thought. Really don;t know what to tell ya.
