So yesterday it was all rainy and stuff and i didn't want to get my homework done quite yet so i decided to make a knife instead of doing work. it took about an hour and a half to get the pep done. and then the weather was nice enough today to resin and bondo. so i used the extra bondo from hardening my helmet to harden the knife. here are the pics, hope you like it

Thats all i have for you today. hope you enjoy it

i Tried this too except i used wood for the blade. I still have to resin and finish it though.

It's at the front there...

Yours looks really nice though. Bet you've attempted to assasinate your siblings or dog or something by now (i know i have).

i have sure put some thought into it. im thinking i might try to carve one out of styrofoam and then taking it to the foundry to have it cast in in steel. it would be cool to have a functioning halo knife. ps i like your bed sheets

Nirvana, have you thought of using 1/2 inch plastic--like a heavy cutting board. You could make the whole blade and then make some screw on handle grips.

This is a great idea! I have a bunch of left over 1/2" HDPE(same stuff as cutting boards, but this is the raw material) from my kayak build. I am going to try this out once I get to the accessories stage. The only issue with HDPE is that nothing will stick to it for very long. I use a scrap section when I am working with paint and Plasti-Dip on my workbench because everything just wipes off of it.

Well. you can always make a mold it and paint the recast.

@S1l3nt V1p3r :What is the length of the tang on the blade?

I was going to make the Tang go through the entire length of the grip, but the subtitute wooden blade got stuck when some drops of resin accidentally made it's way between the blade and the grip. It snapped when I tried to extract it, and I had to drill out most of the wooden blade. I didn't get far enough in, so the Tang is only half the length I wanted it to be.
