Ive been gone for a while dealing with moving cross state and a death in the family. I have been working on weathering and damage methods and here is wha ti came up with. I wanted it to look as tho it had been left in the mud and rain on some foreign battlefield. Let me know what you think.

The dome portion is and the face plate was made by another member here. Im building a similar style from a pep file and have an crazy amount of sanding to do. So i thought i would practice on his amazing sculpt i the mean time. getting the colors right took forever.

That's cool, reminds me of that one assassin from Hell boy....And Darth Vader.... Like they were put together....WHAT IS THIS???

It's the Protect Gear helmet and faceplate from the Jin Roh series.

Your weathering looks excellent. Great job.

It's a pretty sick creation, weathering looks amazing, if you wanna go for the realistic mud effect i have somethin for ya

1x bucket of water
1x backyard
1x shovel
just dig out a hole with loose dirt, put the helmet in and cover with the remaining loose dirt, pour on bucket of water
:D:D:D:D:D:D

lol sorry i had to.. but it does look really awesome.. what you COULD do..is maybe find some small hardware plates(like 1x1 ince square plates) that arent galvanized probly aluminum made, and bend them to the rounded sides where you can glue them onto, just dig out a small hole in the yard, pop them in the dirt and pour some coca cola on them and leave them for a week so they start oxidizing, buuuuuuuutttt its only if you want some raised plate accents..lol just going way overboard with weathering but a suggestion out of the blue

great build

The model looks amazing, and the paint work is awesome, but... this is the 405th, not the killzone boards. I wasn't planning on commenting on it just because it's not really related to Halo at all, and that's really the only thing I have any familiarity with (and Space Marines).

while this forum is based around halo builds it IS open to every and all types of builds and creation, its why there are sections specifically labeled for other topics outside of halo.
