Custom Made Helmet Stand

The other day I had the thought that no one makes custom Halo themed helmet stands. I decided that it would be a great idea, since people spend so much time making their helmets, they would need a good way to display them.

Sorry for not taking any progress pictures, but here is a prototype for my idea. Let me know what you think.

The idea was that I could either put the Halo 3 logo or the Reach logo or the Noble logo, depending on the game that the helmet is from. It would also come with the type of helmet on the tag on the front.

well, casting would rpobaly be the best way, but if you want to mass produce them you need a very nice mold and mother mold to last. I use silicone but its only good for 3 or 4 casts

Halo 3 stand for a Halo 1 helmet?

This was just a prototype. I figured that most people make the helmets from Halo 3 and Reach, so I made the stand for Halo 3. I wanted to show it with a helmet, but I only have the Halo 1 helmet right now. If anyone is interested in Halo 1 or 2 helmets, I am sure that I could change the logo to match.

Does anyone have any suggestions, or does it look perfect the way it is. I want to get it right before I make a mold for it. Let me know if you have any ideas.

It is laser engraved.

If the stand was to be reach oriented, would the logo be just the "o" in the halo title? Or would it be the noble sign?....come to think of it.....I like that idea......noble.....me likey...

Well I finally got a mold made for the top part of the dome.

And made a test pull.

And it fits perfectly.

That is the only part to be molded. The rest is cheaper to laser cut from acrylic. I'll make a few different samples, and should have these up in the classifieds section soon.

Well, I have made 3 different versions.

Unfinished, painted black, and painted black with white engraving.

I am making a handful, and in the next few days I should have them ready for the classifieds.
