Hello everyone, this is my first post in a verrrrryyyy long time. I have played destiny since day one and have subsequently become addicted. So I decided to make a pepakura Ghost from in-game. I used the file contained in this thread: http://goo.gl/2qRI6b. Then I started the pep.
This is the start. I realized at this point that the model was much too big. So I had to scrap this build and start again. I decided to use a ping-pong ball for the eye of the ghost. And here is the finished pep with eye inserted.
Next, I cut open the ghost along the center line all the way around. I then filled the entire inner cavity with hot glue. This was my preferred method of hardening and adding weight because I can't really afford an entire quart of resin just to cover a little bit of space. After filling the inside, I glue the halves back together and prepared for painting by doing a thin coat of straight elemer's glue over the outside to hopefully add some water proofing and protect from warping. I am hoping to paint later today and will post pics later. I am very happy with the strength and weight of the model and recommend the hot glue method to anyone with a small part.
Thanks for looking, I will try and post progress pictures later.
