problem, I believe you need to be hooked up to a computer to make this work. IF someone had a laptop in a spartan backpack, might work. But I dunno... still a good find. someone might figure out how to better apply it. Welcome to the forums!

LOL my friend showed me this tut today too! it seems like a good idea, and you can get cheap PMVs off of eBay too... hmm...

Idea: for the first one, couldnt you instead of just displaying a live video feed from the camera, couldn't you actually run that feed through the computer, and overlay constant updating visuals on-top of that? That way you truly would have a HUD. I believe it should be possibly, and not too expensive.

Though, one thing to keep on mind is that, if you only use one webcam for two screens, there will be NO depth perception whatsoever. I'd personally prefer two webcams. While it does step up the price and difficulty factors, you would atleast save yourself from embarresment by running into things and knocking things over.

Idk, just putting up my two cents. Toughts over this?

hmm a very interesting concept, might just build it, thanks for the post, and welcom to the 405th and enjoy your time here :)
