Does any one have a pic of an energy sword that has a transparent background and if I were to print it off at its real size of about 50 in that it would be very clear. Thanks for your help

THanks for the suggestions I might do the poster cutter thing, but I need a big picture of the sword to do it and thats what I really need. Some people have printed fullsize versions of like the splazer and stuff. I was looking for a pic that big that has color.

That one guy who is making his "artefact armor", he has a sliced cut of the sword... i'd ask him. He's in the noob forums

here i am Viper ^^ i've use the sword i've link .

to print the sword in big size i've use adobe illustrator software if you got it MP ME i will explain you how to do it

Just a suggestion, if you would like the sword to light up... Why not make the center slice hollow and fill it with an EL sheet or tape and put the power pack in the grip.

You could scrap the inkjet paper and make a home made vacuum former (cheap and easy to make) and do it with clear plastic with thatdecade's suggestion that way it would look like the real deal :)

I guess if you really wanna stick with the print then you could use EL wire and just weave it through so the exposed wire is where the lightning energy bolt type thingies are.

thanks for all the suggestions. My main Idea is to print it off on over haed projector paper, like the ones in school and stick it between two pieces of clear plastic and make my own handle. I have thought of putting lights in it so thanks for those tips and advice.

Also do you guys know if I can get a huge EL panel anywhere. Like the size of an energy sword, or can you just attach a bunch of small ones somehow.

Sure, can buy bigger sheets here. Send them an email for a custom order.

but I don't recommend using EL sheet. Is expense. The picture below shows a comparison. El on top, led on bottom. Can see that the el sheet gives an even glow. Led is much much brighter, but you can see the bumps of each led in the blade.

That is Sean's old design. Was fine, but prone to breaking the blade. The rotational force of a normal swing was enough to break the plexi. ick... He has a newer design with dimensional hollow blades, very durable. Haven't broken mine after many close calls.

Some newer videos from Sean here:

Doh!

Thanks. None of those links showed the newer energy sword, but I got to digging around our archives and found several threads chronicling Sean's sword development as well as your part in developing V3.0. Great work. Are any of those components or kits still around? PM if appropriate. As I said, on the shoulders of giants!
