Made this.....4 years ago?

It was from an anime where this kid loses his right arm and left leg, his friends a artifical limb mechanic, so she builds him a set of arm and leg so he can live normally again, it's really just a normal human arm and leg, but made out of metal. It connects to his nervous system somehow, so he has total control just like a real arm.

I forget where, but some prop site used to make these arms in plastic for 50 dollars, real nice ones too.

AoBfrost i like that alot :D
did you do it all yourself or use a templete from somewhere?

my bro is planning to go as edward so i need to make him an arm

This is the problem with kids making props, you grow out of it 1 year later. I made this when I was 13 or 14, now 18, my arm is longer and much larger, me being a super skinny guy, my arm is still too big for it.

ouch , always the downside there :/ but i'm 18 so my growing is nearly all done now , bro is 22 so he ain't gonna grow no more lol

finaly made a pepukura file of it

think anyone would want the template?

i know , i've just started using C4D today and it a real pain , shoulder part has 2 layer of armor part not black i know , a elbow part and a extra layer grill plus the small details on the hand

Some website used to have the patterns for you to use in sheet metal, most of the parts of the arm are flat, but I used resin and posterboard to make this arm, strong enough to wear, but not for combat, it's a prop, not a weapon.

back again to this now

i scraped the pep idea , it's simple to draw out the patterns for me

anywho just started today with making it

made with craft foam , silver card , used a LowTemp GluGun to hold it together and thread

many things still left to do

also should this topic be moved to the noob craft section ?

i've seen that link, i can't get silver vinyl dunno where to get that , tried 2 frabic stores X_X

i've have been looking at artwork on deviant art , i even got the template patterns from that link , just i cutted to much on the grill , just subbing for silver card with is not so flexable to silver vinyl.

my mess around template , get the hang of making it from scratch

not a one part peice

The model is inaccurate, but for a beginner in a 3D modeling program it's pretty cool! I think you should continue the 3D model. :p

The picture with blue foam looks amazing! I cant tell much about accuracy from the angle, but I must say, you look cool.
