What works well for me is simply taking a sharp ballpoint pen and a ruler and drawing over the folds. I have one of those multi colored pens so I can draw dotted lines in blue and striped lines in green or you won't know which way the fold goes.
I use the back edge of an Xacto knife, or just go over the lines with very little pressure with the blade itself. As Mux said, use a ruler to keep your lines straight.
