Would anyone be interested in a Proton Pack pep?

I'm working on a screen accurate model minus the various hoses, wires, switches, etc. This is going to be a huge pep, so I'll be modeling the specific parts individually. There's a pep model out there somewhere (I don't recall where), but it is based on a toy. I have all the measurements (I hope), so all the hoses/genuine parts will fit the way they are supposed to (in theory lol).

i would be interested.

i have a toy one too!

Me too! me and a friend made this about 6 years ago but as you can see there were a couple details we left off or i would mold it because its like 40lbs.

I would be interested, I actually thought about asking if anyone had seen or made in the pep-request thread, but now there is no need! :D

Pack is almost finished, I just need to clean it up a bit. I'll post pics later, I need some sleep. I'll start on the gun tomorrow.

Edit:I'm having problems with the "bumper" thing in the front. It has some funky curves to it, but here's my progress so far.

that looks great!

in my opinion, you might want to think about leaving off some of the items and just go for the shell itself. things like the filler tubes, booster tubes and filler plugs can all be made from scratch extremely easily.

I agree, but you will be able to select which parts you need to print. Every part is a separate object.

Pack is unfolded. How many pages you ask?

You should probably go out and guy new ink cartridges and cardstock before printing the 56 :eek pages. My suggestion would be to print on cheap paper and trace or glue the pattern pieces onto heavier stock/sintra/whatever. The cylinders can be substituted with pvc pipe or cardboard tubes.

I didn't bother closing some of the open edges because I believe most people will not use the tabs since regular pep cardstock will be too flimsy for the larger parts. You will need to make the motherboard and make/buy the pack frame. The motherboard is just a flat sheet of whatever that all the parts will mount to. The frame is mounted onto the opposite side of the motherboard.

The model is not as accurate as I would like, but I'm still learning.

I am releasing the file as-is. I've started working on the gun, trap and pke meter. Pics to come later.

It might not be the most accurate model like you say. But that is nothing for most of the people on here. I'm sure they can sort that with a bit of bondo.

It's a nice model though. I'm impressed. Keep learning and maybe you will come back to upgrade it one day. Or you could let someone else do that for you. Im sure someone here can do it.
