I realize that i havent updated this thread in a looong time.
-Basically in all this time, all of the armor has been made and finished, all that is left is attachments and minor adjustments to the rigging.
-Speaking of rigging, I bought a new vest to mount everything to. I have the belt situation figured out, but I still need to mount the torso armor along with the backpack.
-I modeled some parts to mount the backpack while also making it easy to remove. I know the mechanism works, it's just a matter of fitting it in the backpack and getting the mounting points on the vest. (Hopefully it will sit correctly)
-in these pics I'm not wearing the bracers or fingerless gloves, I assure you I have them I just forgot to put them on
-I decided I would try out some more extreme weathering by using my soldering iron to melt the plastic into something that looked somewhat like plasma scarring.
-I figured out where to get the visors I need, so I'm waiting on that.
I also started to help [USER=57058]SaberRc1138[/USER] on his ODST which will be the same as my setup, but with some changes in flavor. He is going for a Grenadier/bomber loadout with his, and will be using an orange/yellow accent color instead of blue like mine. I'll get him to start a build thread relatively soon.
We are supposed to have a third member in our fireteam, but they have not started their build yet. I've attached a sketch I did of the three of us
