Halo: Reach Game Informer

So, I know that I can't be the only person on the 405th who's seen the newest GI article about HALO: REACH. I'm beyond amped for the game's release, and love the new look to this older variant armor. I was wondering if all these new pics would be enough for someone to start rendering a 3D model for unfold in Pepakura? I'm by no means a 3D artist/animator, but I've been wanting to try my hand at unfolding in pepakura.



If anyone of the amazing artists here in the forum is willing to give this a try, PM me and we can discuss further.

Forged, let me start by saying I'm a big fan of your work. I just got an old HP scanner and I'm trying to get it set up. If you'd like I can try and scan the images, then forward them to you.

Link, must admit I'm a fan of yours as well. You're both amazing artists! I don't know if you need it, but I'd be more than happy to forward those images to you as well if it would help.

cool, haven't had much to make since my halo legends models went to hell.

Which is too bad, really, because I've been looking forward to that EVA. I've been trying to build an EVA Helmet from day one, but I just can't get the helmet and faceplate to match up.



These "new" suits look really good, and each of the five are unique. Even the grunts have new gear! Marines also got an upgrade. But, what's most exciting is that Bungie has provided us with a new target type.



@Link, I'm pretty sure they're rocking the MA5K Assault Rifle. It's a stripped down, carbine-like, variant; lower accuracy rating, but used for it's light weight. The favored weapon of the Spartan III program on Onyx.

ill still get the helm done but everything else has sort of dropped because of life and having to many things to work with.

I can totally relate to that. The VA has been "supporting" me through school, and I've been chasing them for it the whole time.



Whenever you get around to the helm, you get around to it. It's been very stop and go with my ODST build, but I know I'll have it done in time to walk at graduation. Even Hell Jumpers deserve a diploma, right?

Finally a thread was made about Halo: Reach Gameinformer w00t! Anyway I'm not that bad at modeling and I can't make helmets and all that. I"m working on the new forearms which are pretty simple and flat on top Yay for me! So yeah I'll get started on that right now I guess.

Forged, that's amazing... Was that really only from this morning to build? I'm more impressed by the artists here in the 405th by the day.

BenStreeper Thank you so much for getting those pictures up. I couldn't get my scanner to work before going to class, and I have to admit I was anxious to come home and fix that.



On a side note, can anyone tell me how to open a .rar file? I've never worked with one before. <insert gasp here>

If you could somehow make her entire armor, that would be AWESOME!! I would like to make her armor in time for the release!
