Here is my MA5C Assault Rifle from Halo: Reach.

Right now its only in pep (as you can see)

I wanted to get some feed back on it, after all this is my first attempt at Pep work ever and I wanted to know how it looks. >.>

For a first pep that came out really good, a lot better than my first pep did anyways. I can see a few spots where it looks like the paper is a little bent but you seem to have gotten the gun as a whole surprisingly straight, judging from your first pic, so good job on that, I always have trouble with that.

Pep weapons are much harder than helmets and such because they tend to bend and warp since they're so long. Check out Carpathia's thread ("Carter build" or something like that) in the creation discussion. On page 16 or there abouts he gives a mini tutorial on a really good way to reinforce the larger pieces with foamboard so they don't bend. I'm using it on the AR I just started and it works wonders. Really easy to do and it makes the whole process a lot easier.

Also, I know you probably don't want to hear this but there is an actual Reach AR pep that you can use if you feel like re-pepping a whole new gun. Its in the "Official Reach File Thread" (or something like that) in the creation discussion. Just thought I'd say this in case you weren't aware.

lol, damn, I thought it was the H:R AR... lol, oh well.

The one thing I like about this file in particular is the removable magazine ( I forgot to put a pic up of it )

I'll check out that tut though. Reinforcing the larger parts might be a better idea than using cardboard. And I might as well try out the actual file for the H:R AR since I need to make one more anyway. *Shrug*

I'm actually working on cutting out my helmet now, (Kinda nervous since I think I may have over sized it a bit...) but I think that I should put it on hold and just do another AR, just so I have my cutting and folding techniques down.

So, off I go to read that tut and get the Reach AR file.

Thanks for the comments and also, thanks for correcting me on the AR. I was convinced I had the right one. ^_^;;
