Halo Reach Mark v foam armour (first Build)

I have wanted to build a halo costume for the last 6 years but didn't have the resources or knowhow. So at the start of the year, I decided to give it a go, with the aim of it being finished by November for mcm comic con. I started with an Mk6 Build but that didn’t go great, then an ODST build which went the same way. So I gave it a break for a few months, to learn how to build better with the foam. So last week (after watching a Hell of a lot of tutorials) I decided to have a go at a reach build, which is going great. I’ve got the biceps, codpiece and the knife done, and should be moving on to the chest later this week. The Project is going awesome, and should be finished by November. XD

great job so far mate, though I suggest fleshing out the gap between the end of the sheath and the hilt of the knife

Congrats on the progress so far. November is still a few months away, keep at it, but don't rush yourself too much!

Hi trx117, nice to see another uk spartan, good work so far, I'm working on a foam suit for LFCC in a few weeks and so far it's going ok only got the forearms to do.

Sorry for no updates guys, but my computer at home won't let me on 405th ( posting this from my Nans ).But the armours going great, got the chest done last week, should have it detailed by the end of this week. Hopefully have some pics up,once I can get onto the 405th again.

Should have the rest of the leg armour done by the end of the week. The armours nearly half done , can't wait to start detailing and painting XD.
Dose any one know where to get pastidip in the UK ?

everything looks good. i only have one gripe so far. your cod/belt piece looks really tiny. i think you need to make it bigger. personal opinion though.

Build is looking pretty good! I have to agree with Mstruvmgc, the Cod piece does look a little small. As for plastidip, I know U513 ordered quite alot from a website, not sure which though so it might be worth looking at his build page or dropping him a message! good luck with the armour!

Thanks for the feed back guys. after looking closely at my suited up photo, I realised the cod was to small so I've re- made it. I'm also in the middle of re- making the chest, as its a bit to small and uncomfortable to wear. I have also finished painting my first pice of armour. should have an update tomorrow.
