Hello to everyone reading this post. I am planning on making a HALO Reach Marine Light Trooper and I found my old boots that I customized to use for another costume. I ended up not using them but I thought they'd be perfect for a HALO Reach Marine costume. Here are a couple of links to see what you guys think of them. They have been scratched up from storage but I can repaint them with the same color. BTW, has anyone modeled and unfolded any Reach Marine armor besides the EOD shoulders and helmets? If not I'll probably just make them from scratch.

First Attempt at HALO Reach Trooper Armor Layout
I've done some searches on the forum but didn't find anything on the Reach Marine armor variant. So, I did some sketches this morning to get a general idea of how I should fabricate one or at least make a template. I now have a basic outline of the front section of the armor and where the angles should be.
From this picture below, the sides are pretty much accurate but I have to work on bringing in the three paneled middle section of the armor at least another 1/2 inch thinner on all three. Also, the two chevrons need to be about 1/2 to 3/4 inch apart. The dimensions are made to my size and I am 5'6", 175 lbs so the chest should be 13" across after I adjust the three paneled middle section. Right now it's at 15" so I have 2" to get rid of.

This could be a very cool build. I think there should be more Marine armor done. The Spartans and ODST's are awesome, but it's the starndard Marine that is the backbone of the UNSC. I'm thinking I might make one after my ODST build. Good luck to you sir, and I will be following your project.

Thanks for the correction and the comments Ventrue! I was thinking of doing the UNSC Marines from HALO 3 before and I think it just stayed in my mind when I referred to the HALO Reach Troopers lol!

Update:
I finished the final draft on the trooper chest armor drawings and cut the pieces out, then traced them on foam board. I cut out the foam board pieces then glued them together to see how they all fit in. My final measurements ended being 13.5" inches instead of 13" which is good enough for me. I will try to bondo the foam board tomorrow and hopefully add the details on it.
