Hawaii Odst Helm Paint Wip

So this is my buddy's first attempt at a pep/glass/bondo helm. He asked if i would do a paint up for him.



ive done plenty of models and miniatures but nothing of this scale, so be gentle please hope to have most of it finished today but this is what ive got so far.

What are those weird little splotches of yellow?

thats masking fluid for the weathering. its a layered paint job so hopefully when im all done, ill remove the masking fliud and itll show the layers under and appear as if its been well-used!

nice paint. That weathering will look pretty nice. Also, your friend did a great job on the helm. Looks like he took his time getting it that smooth.

haha actually he brought it to me kinda rough, i went over everything 2 and 3 times and used filler primer etc. i did the best i could by hand with no small files or anything. it was a pain >_<

im actually hesitating big-time on Resin-ing a chestplate/abplate/gaunts i have pepped... scared to hose em up.
