Iron Monger

Well, since I lost almost all the (few) posts I had on the old site, and haven't posted here in forever, so I can't see or post to what might be the most appropriate place for this question, I'll ask it here.

I've been enthralled by the various Iron Man armors posted here (and elsewhere), but am only slowly getting back into shape, so, let's just say that it wouldn't be particularly body-appropriate for me to take on IM, War Machine, etc. Then I thought to myself, "Well, I could fit just fine into an Iron *MONGER* suit...", and started searching for pepakura files of it. Apparently, no one has made or at least posted pep files for this (I can't say I'm TOO surprised, as it'd be a heck of a job and would probably HAVE to be scaled down). I saw on a couple of older threads that someone extracted the model from the first movie's game, but the files are no longer stored at the links provided in the old posts, and neither member here is accepting PMs (or I can't send them, not sure which). If anyone has the 3d model, that'd be at least a step in the right direction - if someone has actual pepakura files and is willing to pass them along, that would be fantastic.

I've grabbed all the tutorials and Mjolnir Mk VI files already, as I do also plan to do a Master Chief costume as well eventually - once I get in shape, again. Some of those parts might not be a bad way to ease into pepakura armoring, anyways.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I hate to break it to you but there is almost NO feasible way of doing this. In the movie he was "sitting" inside of it and it was still huge. It is just way too big. It would be really awesome but I just see no way of doing it.

a new friend I met scratch built one.

Pepping this would be just too much work. If you'd like to try, go for it.

i thought of making it too, you couls use a modified version of digigrade stilts, i think

and i think scratch building would be alot easier (see my guidelines for help)

Saw that, actually (the poster was one of the people here who posted about having older IM and Monger files), but Section Sixteen does not allow nonmembers to view or save files from their forum, and they aren't accepting registrations.

Clarification for Agbates - not looking to build a perfectly-screen-accurate version, as that one was 10 feet tall (and STILL wouldn't allow someone to actually sit in it the way Bridges did in the movie!) - but rather something shorter, say, 8 feet or less tall, on drywall stilts and possibly with arm extensions, etc. I'd think a workable version COULD be done, I just don't know if I can scratch-build it, and was hoping for a shortcut to get me started. I intend to keep chewing on it in the back of my head, just to see if I can come up with a good way to do it, as you see lots of Iron Man suits (even several Mk 1s at DragonCon last year), I predict War Machine will be just as visible starting this year, but I've never personally seen an Iron Monger and now in this thread have seen a grand total of TWO costumes of that character. I'd like to have something a little different, I think.

Zapp: "Kiff, I have a very...sexy...problem..." haha. Iron Monger suit is epic. I don't think you would want to go bigger than that size anyway. I imagine it would be hard to walk around.
