Is there a possible way to add EVA Foam to shoes and still be able to run???

So I have been reaching the end of my research for my costumes that I'll be using in some Films. There's just several thing I need to clear up. One of them is Eva Foam Armour on Shoes. So my question is does anyone know methods to have Eva Foam on shoes and be able to run while, having them stay on properly and keep them from getting ruined? Also if there are templates or a Pepakura file of foam templates of boots, that will work really well for what I'm looking for, That would be great! Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
