Hey guys, i have gotten the faceplate of the helmet finished and im not sure what to think of the build since i still pretty new to this, but i do feel it came out the way it was suppose to at the vest least. The fellas over at PropZone would a great file that i had been dying for and was not disapointed. Money well spent. I was however having a problem finding clear referance pictures for the faceplate itself with the all the details and then i finally found some on a japanese fan blog, and i have some work ahead of me amking it accurate. I think im going to make a mold of the helmet basically "stock" as it came in the file and then from there make an accurate version, and then a more custom version. Because of the german infulence i cant get the idea of a winter camo version completely beat up and muddy with the chicken wire covers the made during WWII (google german M40 helmet and youll see what im saying). Anyhow onto the pictures.

And here are the referance pictures i found. Lots of little vents and circuits and the snout area needs to be extended out like 30 percent further with the small "crease" running down the middle of it.

Any and all comments would be apprciated.

I always loved the look of these guys, so I'm excited for this build. Do you have any plans for making the rest of the suit? If you did... Mother of God.

Yes i am sir, i have a folder i downloaded somewhere that has most of the armor files in it, shoulders shine etc. The only problem is that who ever made it, did a fantastic job, but it doesnt seem the unfold was finished, the parts are not broken down far enough or etc. It would be great if someone could maybe take those files and make them so i can use them (im not good enough to use them as is). If someone could help me in that area i would be more than happy to reward them. That is the ultimate goal, im molding everything i make so i make unlimited copies. Not enough of these bad dudes around. What did you think of my WWII winter camo idea?

I think it's an interesting idea, and with some selective coloring and weathering, you could make it really interesting. Possibly make majority of the plates in M40 urban winter camo, and some of them in solid greys or whites. You doing a trench coat?

i am actually think that an officers trench coat and hat may be awesome. I aminly just want to capture the feel of the heavy WWII influence. Im really looking forward to making the dome part of the helmet field camoflauged with the wire bands and chicken wire etc. And instead of red eyes, im going to use the green filter from my flashlights from when i was in the army. I still need someone to dress these files up a bit.
