this is my progress in the H2 odst armour. all peices are the pepakura files which will be resined and fibre glassed.

im up to the strengthening stage.

the helmet is on the first coat of resin

the shins are also on the first

the shoulders are on their second

the knife hasnt got any done

the torso peice still needs a whole load of bracing befor its ready to be resined.

the ammo pouches and thigh pouches will be sewn together after everything else is done.

i know where to get gloves, but im still working on fatigues and boots.

im not sure about the bondo as ive never used it before. i was thinking maybe NSP clay. http://www.plastermaster.com/chavant/cart/nsp.html

its the stuff belakor uses for his helmets. either way, ive got a whole load of old helmets like MK 5s and 6s and an old h2 odst helmet from when i first started, so im gonna experiment on those first. alternatively, since its my first suit, i might just straight paint it and then go to make a better version onc ive finished.

i was planning on making a whole load of support struts to hold the chest peice in place while i resin it. after that, just standard firbeglass and resin. i may posibly also use expanding foam and then carve it out.

just making sure this post doesnt die. not much to post, but im currently fibreglassing everything. thaks to school though, ive been pretty busy and still have a lot to go.

its been a while since i've had anything to report but ive finally got a weekend free where there is no soccer or partys or anything. so im finally free to do some work on this. only thing is that the resin supply is getting low and i think the surf shop is closed on weekends. typical, finally get some time to work and i need supplys. Anyway, i gave everything another coat of resin (except the chest), did the second layer of fibre glass in the helmet, began the first layer on the sholders and kept preparing the chest peice for its first coat (needs some tears fixed and a few more supports).

anyway, thats a picture of the helmet (plus my smg and magnum) curing.
now i gotta get back to work.

i have some bad news (if anybody even still reads this). Im not going to finish this project for several reasons: lack of interest, too many other projects still unfinnished, made several parts too small, ect. anyway, i may still do the helmet but the rest is being scrapped.

well, the chest peice was alwready partially crushed (i had planned to make a new one). plus the shins were too small. only came up just under my knee's. not to mention, i dont know of many 405th-ers there are in my area. it's a nice thought but it probably wont happen. Once i finish my current weapon projects though, then i might resume it (i would have had to rebuild the parts anyway). till then, ill hang onto to helmet and shoulders.

um, i think it was just printed at the scale it was set in. apparently it's meant to be for someone 6'2'' but im 6'1'' and it didnt even cover halfway down my ribcage.

really? oh well. it was still begining to warp horribly. Ever notice how there is almost no pictures of the H2 ODSTs online?

Yeha I know look on youtube for a Halo 2 odst cut scene from halo 2, that was not put in it but that gives a good view. but its not clear at all. The warping that will happen, I paper mached and I got warping but not much compared to everyone else who tried.

is that the "Grid Kilo 23" deleted level or the "Day at the Beach" cutscene? both were pretty good. sucks how they only appear in two levels in the entire game.
