Well, like it says, I'm making the M-3 Predator heavy pistol from Mass Effect 3.

I know a lot of people use things like the thick foam, and wood, or any other such things. But I'm probably one of those cheap prop makers around here, since I'm making it out of those foam boards (for the pistol) students use in high school debate class. Haha.

Here's a couple pictures of it so far;

The first picture is basically what it looked like after I cut it out, but the second one is after I added pieces to it so that it has more real feel to it.

My main reason for using a foam board was that it's lightweight, and easy to work with, but also because it was cheap. I'm pretty much on a tight budget right now.

But anyway, aside from my cruddy pictures with my phone does anyone have any tips or ideas on how I should go about making a cover around it? I was thinking of paper mache before painting of course, but I wasn't sure if there were any other cheap methods to use.

And, also, I was hoping to make the N7 armor at some point. Does anyone have any ideas I could use in making that as well? Like... say another cheap method, but something that would look good when I'm finished with it.

For "cheap", it sure looks good so far.

For sealing foam before painting, try using Plasti-Dip; it's a rubber-coating in a spray can. I can't get any where I live, but if you're in the States, that should be easy enough!

Thanks, I'm glad someone else thinks it does.

And thank you for letting me know what to use to seal the foam, haha, I wasn't sure what to do with that! Thanks again!
