Heyo!

Well, kinda like the thread I posted yesterday showing Privateer's 405th Medallion, this is something I received from Ithica a little while ago. Actually, it was over two weeks ago, lol. As I'd mentioned elsewhere though, I've just been so busy lately I haven't had time to take any pics.

Until now. So, here they are:

M6D Pistol -- Pic 01

M6D Pistol -- Pic 02

M6D Pistol -- Pic 03

M6D Pistol -- Pic 04

M6D Pistol -- Pic 05

As can clearly be seen, this isn't one of Lee's builds (definately want to get one of his at some point, though). This is a version that was made -- and is still available for sale on eBay -- by WilcoModels. Although not accurate in size as seen in Ithica's "M6G Auction" thread, this is still pretty darn big.

A helluva lot bigger than the Star Trek phaser props I'm used to handling, lol.

I wanted to take/post enough pics to show what it looks like all around, as I've decided I'm going to try and rework this piece to make it more game-accurate (some areas I plan on revising are indicated by black Sharpie marker). There's more than enough reference material available, in the way of in-game pics and others' builds, that I should be able to do the job adequately.

Considering I don't have the space to really work on any of my other, larger projects this will give me something to sink my teeth into, aside from the schematics I'm regularly working on here.

Anyway, that's pretty much it for now. I'll try to get to work on accurizing this as soon as possible, time and personal life matters permitting :D

P.S., Thanks much for sending this my way, buddy! This makes for the first HALO prop in my collection.

I didn't know someone else out there (WilcoModels) made any Halo props.

What else were you going to do to it (besides the sharpie...I thought it came like that...gesh)?

Yay! You got it! That was a good score Spartan II, I mean with such intense bidding and everything. But all in all the end result was achieved. Did you get the warm fuzzy feeling when you opened it? :D I look forward to seeing what you do with it.

P.S. When you say phasers please tell me you're talking about ones from the original series and not those lame TV remotes that Piccard's "crew" had. I'm not a trekky but as far as I'm concerned there's only one captain of the Enterprise and his last name is Kirk. James T is the Shat (y)

that's M6G, one in halo 3, not the D'
But that still looks cool, though the laser sight housing looks a bit too high

Well, aside from chopping the laser sight housing down a bit (definately too tall) and working on some of the side angles of the housing attachment to the main body, I plan on removing all of the existing surface details and redoing them to better match the in-game model.

Once everything's smoothed over, I'm thinking of re-adding some of the details using sheet styrene (gawd, I love that stuff, lol). So, I'm pretty much going to be giving it a full face lift. I might see about adding a little more length to the body based on the dimensions of Lee's model, but at the very least will be lengthening the ammo clip.

I think my top bid of $60.00 pretty much killed anyone else bidding on it, lol, but it went toward a very good cause. I'm glad I did it. And for what it is and what it will be -- a good starter kit for my first HALO prop -- it's not bad, really. Not quite up to par with the awesomeness of Lee's, lol, but it's good for a start.

And yes, I'm talking about the TOS Type I/Type II Phaser combos. The more recent styles from TNG, DS9 and VOY can't even compare to this as they have no similar design aspects to this, lol.

Oops. You're right. Didn't notice the typo there, lol. As for the laser sight housing, see my first reply in this post.

Looks better then I expected, (from seeing it in Ithica's video.) and as for the comment on Lee's M6G, hopefully today or tomorrow I will see Lee's awesome piece of work for myself.

Well, even though I know it's not up to some people's standards here, lol, for what it is it ain't half bad imho. Like I said before, it'll make for a great starter kit as my introduction to the HALO portion of my own collection.

Am I to infer, from the second part of your post, that you're getting one of Lee's awesome M6G's shortly? o_O
