Undecided if I’ll attend, I’ll know more after my exam this week what my next few months are gonna look like.

Both Keith David and Ron Perlman have confirmed their attendance at this con.

Though Ron is only going to be present on Saturday.

I'm not going to be making it down. Since we had to change the build day for Planet booth items from Jan, this weekend ended up being the next best time to work on items.

makes sense.

and as of just a few minutes ago Kieth just canceled his appearance. something work-wise came up apparently.

So that is a bit of a bummer.

I just wanted to give a few thoughts on the con now that it has gone by.

1. I had a blast despite not actually doing much other than just walking the halls.

2. there are some things that I expect to see growth-wise in the coming years since the convention space in Springfield is so limited. the con was separated by a dividing street that you would need to have a 3-5 minute walk to and fro from building to building. (cold and a blast of winter weather made going back and forth a chilly experience in cosplay.)

3. the con has a lot of potential for cosplay groups, there was a Ghostbusters group, a Star Trek group, a Marvel group, as well as representation from the 501st and the Rebel Legion.

4. parking was $15 at a parking garage right next to the convention center.

All told for a simple weekend con in its 3rd year, they were very well organized and I had a blast.

Here is a selection of my pictures from the convention floor:

I am looking forward to next year and to see how the Con grows!

Thanks for sharing all about Missouri Comic Con! Looks like you had fun. Was sad I couldn't make it down but hoping for next year since our core booth for Planet will be finished.
