My Boba Fett Blaster Build

ok, I am finally finishing my scratchbuilt Boba Fett blaster while working on my Pulse Rifle and thought I would show some pics of the wip, please let me know what you think .







I am using a toy gun as a base with pvc and foamies. Found an old Tasco scope , but had to make some modifiations. also replaced the toy grip for the Webley Scott replica and the stock greeblies I found on ebay a while back. I used Plastidip on the foamies for the vents.The D ring that connects the stock to the gun I cut out of steel as I wanted it to be very strong.

Im pretty sure by "scratch build" he meant, he built it with his own two hands, using the base of a toy gun, and using only reference pics. Correct me if I am wrong? And what he used to make it, would have been an easy assembly (PVC pipe, craft foam, and some wood). Again, correct me if I am wrong?

Scratch building is the process of building a scale model "from scratch", ie. from raw materials, rather than building it from a commercial kit, kitbashing or buying it pre-assembled.



Scratch building is easiest if original plans of the subject exist; however, many models have been built from photographs by measuring a known object in the photograph and extrapolating the rest of the dimensions. The necessary parts are then fashioned out of a suitable material, such as wood, plastic, plaster, clay, metal, polymer clay, or even paper, and then assembled. Some purists consider a model not to be truly scratchbuilt unless all of the parts were made from raw materials. However most modellers would consider a model including commercial detail parts as scratchbuilt.

Thanks, Yep , its just yellow pine. whats funny is Ive been working on it for some time ,its just all these great models keep popping up and I kept getting sidetracked. so I finally decided to stay focused on one at a time. didnt mean to imply that I got it done in a couple of days,LOL

I'm working on it, did a repaint on a Rubies helmet but I will probably do the one Skip released on TDH as the rubies is a little undersized and I built the Jetpack about a year ago. but I'm getting there. Eventually
