ok helmet fit quite well but i have trouble getting my ears in its ok while its still card but think i might have trouble when ive resined and glassed it anyone have any tip i could be the only one with this prob ( and no im not making a bigger one lol )

I've seen some guys trim around the neck area so that the ears can pass through, I noticed the same problem with mine and have built them in several different sizes.

Looks good so far, nice and smooth.

Are you going to put the visor in (the paper visor)? Because it helps to support the helmet.

Which HD file did you use?

You'll need to trim the areas that your ears are catching on once it's been fiberglassed/hardened. I highly recommend installing the internal supports before you move on to the resin process; having something like that warp after you put so much work into it would suck beyond mere verbal description.

If you're not looking forward to trimming the rim maybe you can use a balaclava to help pull your ears back. Works nicely and goes along well with the suit.

Your helmet looks great, but you will really want to either put in the visor (not easy with this helmet, I know) or put in all the supports. Otherwise, your helmet will not stand up to being resined. I know this first hand. I pepped one a few months back and when I resined it, it fell in on itself. Without the supports or the visor, the helmet will not stand up to its own weight when the resin is still wet. I'd hate to see another nice helmet bite the dust.

lookin nice and neat there Demolition :) and i agree with carpathiavh99 with out all of the suports and the visor it won't be pretty...

Enjoy!

wow, that is one NICELY made Mk VI helmet ! the folds look nice and clean, and numbers match up nicely as well. :) this is going to turn out to be an amazing armour build :)

Only Adam really knows when the change happens and I think it changes every now and then. My advise, don't worry about it. It'll happen when it happens, you're best off just going about your business as usual :)

I'm with you on that. First I heard it was 60, then I heard it changes, then I heard that you have to be noticed by the mods and that post count doesn't play into it at all... now I'm really wondering what's required. I PM'd one of the mods days ago (Belakor, I think) to ask if there's anything special required, etc, but there's been no response. I would love to have access to the classifieds, but that's not happening until Veteran status appears beneath that name of mine.
