My power armor build

I decided to do a power armor build for next years Icon and new york comicon. My cousin gave me the idea by simply calling me up and asking if i would like to build power armor with pause i said yes.

Before that i didnt even know what pepakura was but after a few days of reading and researching i found everything i would need and told my cousin lets get started. I ended up printing the torso out on regular paper to make a moc up so i could see if it needs to be resized and for general pepakura practice.

I was able to finish the torso but i do not have a picture of the completed piece sorry. Its not gonna be used anyway. I decided to scale it up 20% Thanks for reading guys.:cool

you should get a glue gun if you can.

Do you still have the pepakura files for the power aromor, and would I be able to have a copy, cant seem to find it anywhere

tape is very temporary. Another option you could use would be glue.. school glue, super glue, hot glue - whatever works for you. You may not find much success with card stock if you plan on using only tape for your full version after the practice mock up. Good luck with your build!

Thanks for the hint. You know i looked all over for a hot glue gun at staples and couldnt find it. i didnt think normal elmers glue would help. Doesnt that take a while to dry? I have most of the files but only one shoulder file can i invert the should with papekura?

whiteape1 you should check most of road warriors post he is the one who has the good ones. I will PM you if i get a chance and i might be able to hook you up.

Small update. I scaled and printed out a shoulder pad. I cut and scored the fold lines with a pen. Im gonna hold off on assembly until i either get hot glue or super glue.

If you have a wal mart nearby they will have a low temp glue gun for 3 bucks. It sets really quick and makes putting your pieces together a breeze. Keep up the good work!

UPDATE- I purchased a low heat hot glue gun for 4 bucks. I have to say i have tried both super glue and tape for practice but the hot glue blows both of them out of the water. Im amazed at how well the hot glue works.

I got a little bored at work with the down time so i made this.

Couldn't find where you mentioned it, but what is this armor from? I don't recognize it. The shoulder pep and the AR look well done.

i seem to have run into a problem. I was only able to find the file for the left shoulder. I thought i could invert from pepakura designer but it aparently still printed it as a left side. Im relizing this just now as i started to assemble it. Where can i get the right shoulder file? I believe the file im using is from someone namedhuumanzz.

Wheel wrench- Im not sure where i aquired all the files from. I searched all over the internet for them including here and other similiar sites.

As far as inverting the parts in pepakura the 3d display model will remain the same but the pieces do get inverted and you'll likely have to reposition them. Just play around with it a bit, you'll get the hang of it.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did seem to figure out that it was inverted but i was confused because of the 3d view. I apreciate the link to the file. If i need them i will be sure to look there. Is there a way to invert 3d view?

Ok i want to scale the helmet. Is 290mm height to small? That is the scale as is without changes. The height of my head is 10 1/2 inchs.
