I'm working on a project right now that I'm keeping a secret  for now. But, I have one question. How can I get the ever famous UNSC logo, seen in this picture, onto something like my armour? Not that I'm making armour... It doesn't have to be on pepakura, just in general any type of material. Could I use some type of stencil? The UNSC letters won't be that big of deal, but as you can see the logo is very complicated...

Well you could make your own stencil and paint it on, or you might ask link if he can help you out. I know he has a vinyl stencil that he put on his chest. Check through the forums. link4044 is the man. ;)

I would agree with making a stencil of the logo you want is the way to go. Its not to tuff and you can make the stencil out of just about anything. If you want the easier version, you can print the one you want off, then put clear packing tape on the front and the back of the piece of paper and use an exacto knife to cut the pattern out then just lay it on your armor and paint over it. Thats all it takes to make a stencil.

True, but I just think this particular logo will be hard for all of the small parts and disjointed pieces. But I want to give it a beat up look so it might work. I don't know yet...

I wanted to ask the same question...

I saw this person who was using decals on this site for his ODST armor.

I really was wondering how the hell he made those...

I think that was me. I bought 8.5x11 white decal paper and printed the logo with an ink jet. I trimmed off the black part after application with an xacto.

For about $50 and a whole lot less time, you can make an illustrator file of the outline of the eagle logo and the UNSC lettering.

Then send it into Ponoko.com which is a New Zealand based laser cutting service bureau that will cut you a stencil out of acrylic that you can use to spray paint through onto your armor. It's expensive but it's exact without the need to do it all yourself. And the turn around time is something like 1 week so you can be painting the logo on a week after you send them your file.

Just follow the instructions on how to make & send them your file. I think they'll do any plastic or wood material up to 48" x 48".

Here's a link to the Instructions for creating a file.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to see about doing a bulk purchase of an agreed series of stenciles for ODSTs, logos and so on...?

That's what I was thinking, I have a few questions: Where can you get the Decal Paper? I have a Office supply store in town, but I'm not sure they will carry it. And can you print colour?
