I need help finding replacement cartridges for my gas mask. There are 3 to choose from and I am not exactly sure which one to pick. I will be fiberglassing, spray-painting, sanding, using bondo, and the such. If it helps, I am 13 >.<

Here are my options....

http://www.amazon.com/Anti-Paint-Re...eiko-Respirator/dp/B000XUKM5K/ref=pd_sim_hi_2

http://www.amazon.com/Box-Anti-Dust...Respirator/dp/B000XUD5F4/ref=pd_bxgy_hi_img_c

EDIT:
Also, could anyone tell me which respirator would be better?

http://www.amazon.com/Anti-Dust-Paint-Respirator-Industrial-Chemical/dp/B000XUIL44/ref=pd_cp_hi_1

If anyone could help it would be much appreciated. Thanks everyone.

The most important thing you wanna look for in a respirator is how well it fits on you and how well you can breath with it. If it's not a snug fit then it will let fumes and particles in. If you can't breath well in it, it would make it extremely uncomfortable to use and may make you light headed. Either of those respirators seem fine, but even if you don't get those the big thing is the filters. You want to buy the filters for Organic Vapors. These are the filters that block out all the fumes coming from the different chemicals (i.e. resin, bondo, spray paint fumes).

Thanks. I'm not sure how I could see if it fits, as it is online, but clearing up the organic vapor thing helped a lot. Just one more thing, if you were to choose one of those 2 respirators which would you choose? Which one do you think is safer?

I agree with insanitarium. The second one would be your best bet. As for the fitting, as long as you tighten the straps on it to the point where its snug, you should be fine.

This should answer a few questions: http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/33426-Prop-Making-Safety-Guide

I wouldn't buy any of the products you linked. They all practically scream out to you that they are low quality China stuff, the reviews are terrible and the manufacturer doesn't even seem to have a web page, let alone provide support or datasheets. In addition to that, the black and the white filter cartridges you've linked will not protect you on their own during all of the activities you've mentioned and the orange one, while seemingly the right one according to the description, doesn't follow labelling standards. Instant no-trust for me.

If you want to work safely, look for a reputable brand instead of the lowest price. I am very happy with my 3M 6200 mask, in case you want a concrete product recommendation. If you have a small face, you can look for model 6100, that's essentially the same thing, but smaller.
