Southwest Instagram Content!

So Recently we've been able to get access to the Southwest Regiment Instagram again! Main Issue. We don't have a whole lot of content on there and If we wanna grow as a regiment we need to start creating things. I've been tasked with getting content made and getting it posted. I have several Ideas for what to do HOWEVER I want to know what y'all would also like to see!

A couple of my ideas are.
- Regiment Member Highlights.
- WIP Wednesdays.
- Fun and funny Skits. (As of right now what exactly I'm not sure)
- Booth announcements and little hype videos before Cons
- Maybe a funny goofy Recap of the con!

Now that's enough about what my ideas are. I want to know what you guys think and anything y'all would want to see and make! Use this space as a place to brainstorm ideas for what y'all would like to see on the instagram!

in my opinion the simplest thing we could do is follow TikTok cosplayer trends and just make our on versions together. The algorithm like that stuff. We can make multiple per meet up so we have consistent uploads and content for our own accounts too. I like the idea of suit up videos too

So Glad we go this up and running- can’t wait to boost up our community and showcase our regiment. Here are some content ideas for the Southwest Regiment Instagram to consider! Hope this helps!

1. Suit-Up Saturdays – Showcase members putting on their armor/costumes, either as a timelapse, transformation video, or a quick highlight of their favorite part of their build.

2. Meet the Regiment – Quick Q&A-style videos where members introduce themselves, share their cosplay experience, favorite build, or fun facts.

3. Troop Talks – Behind-the-scenes chats with members about their favorite moments from events, build struggles, or funny troop stories.

4. Armor Evolution – Before-and-after comparisons of members’ first armor vs. their latest improvements.

5. Prop Close-Ups – Show off cool weapons, helmets, or accessories with short breakdowns of how they were made.

6. Battle Reenactments – Short, fun skits where members recreate classic Halo moments or make up their own scenarios (e.g., “ODSTs vs. Spartans in a Nerf battle”).

7. Halo Lore in 60 Seconds – Quick, engaging lore breakdowns for new fans or cosplayers who want inspiration for their next build.

8. Meme Mondays – Halo-related memes, inside jokes, or funny moments from troops and events.

9. Regiment Challenges – Fun, interactive challenges for the community, like best armor posing, best Spartan walk, or funniest in-costume dance.

10. Flashback Fridays – Throwback posts of past cons, builds, or iconic moments from the regiment.

WandererTJ I better see you giving feedback here, with how much content you like to shoot at events when we are together. LOL
WandererTJ dude we HAVE to get ahold and upload the footage we filmed last year HCS. Nothing would get people more hyped than those edits of us moving across the field and securing those different drop points! It was so Exhilarating filming it, I know it would be just as amazing watching it play out

I should have it... I need to look around in my external hard drive to check.

Can’t stop thinking about the film we took. Picture this:
Scene Breakdown: “Southwest Regiment - HCS Arlington”

Opening Shot:
• Wide shot of the Southwest Regiment advancing steadily through an open field.
• The camera follows behind, low to the ground, emphasizing movement and tension.
• Subtle sound design: distant wind, boots crunching dirt, quiet radio chatter.

Action Begins:
• Sharp audio cue: CRACK! – past covenant sniper fire breaks overhead.
• Quick cut to a close-up of helmets jerking in reaction.
• Rapid jump cut to the squad sprinting for cover—camera shakes for intensity.

POV Inside the Helmet (HUD View):
• Use a real helmet with a camera inside, playing footage on a monitor for an immersive feel.
• Audio: Spartan’s ragged breathing, radio static.
• Dialogue (radio distortion effect):
• “Get to the tree line—cover me!”
• Heads-up display elements flicker, updating as danger escalates.

Reaching the Tree Line:
• Cut to the team bursting into cover, weapons raised in defensive positions.
• Dramatic pause—breathing slows, the forest is eerily quiet.
• Subtle movement in the trees, tension lingers.

Final Impact:
• Fade to black.
• White text scrolls across the screen:
Meet the Southwest Regiment at HCS Major Arlington. We got your six.
• Faint echoes of past covenant gunfire fade out.

We can record in game audio from one of the games and pull it/overlay it easy! Same way you would record a voice over in a video- I splice most of my videos on an app called InShot. It allows me to extract audio from any videos that I make on my iPhone.

If you don’t feel like jumping in forge here’s the sound for the Stalker Rifle pulled from the 5:08 mark in the video. Just image that ringing over head at our characters.

audio isn't my issue. its the fact its made of plasma and you can see it moving. what i do is i just go in game record the audio take it from my xbox app then put it into premier and then get rid of the video so then its only the sound effect. I know how to get the audio. its the visual aspect.
