Spartan NBS, MKV Build (Pic Heavy)
Alright, this is my first build ever. I'm using the MOZ Pepakura files from the Constuming wiki 'Cept the Helmet. I'm using Rundowns HD Version for that. (Thanks Rundown, I don't even know you at all but from what I've been reading, You know your stuff).
My Friends keep asking me if I'm going to be MC for Halloween and I keep saying, "No, I'm a Spartan". I think that's the right way to say that. It's also fitting because I live near Michigan State University who are the Spartans.
What I have done :
- Left/Right Bicep (25 1/4 Scale)
- Left/ Right Forearm9 (25 Scale)
- Left Boot. (24 1/4 Scale)
- Backpack (30 Scale) *
- Chest Piece (28 Scale) *
* These are going to be redone because they were too big and the melted in the out put of the AC unit. I have them 'hung' on the wall above my Computer desk. That just happens to be right in the flow of the AC unit's output to the rest of the apartment. They Literally melted. The Good news is they were bonded together with Rubber cement, NEVER USE IT. Hot Glue is so much better.
Things I have Printed out :
- Rundowns' HD Helmet (Un-Scaled, It seems the height was perfect measurement wise)
- Left Thigh piece. (26? Scale, Can't remember, I left it at a friends house)
I plan on doing a Basic Rondo inside and am contemplating what I'm going to do on the outside still. After Reading a thread about someone that didn't use (and was quite agianst) rondo on the outside I may try it just for ease of Work. I probably will still use a few thin layers though.
Still not sure What Color I'm going to paint it. I'm thinking a Blue/Black mix. Kind of like the "stealth" color with Blue Highlights. I'm also going to be adding Blue LED's in the armor in certain places. Just to make it look cool. I'm very experienced at Electrical stuff so that's not a problem for me.
I've also been kicking around the idea of putting a Small lift in the shoes to give me some more height. No more then 2 or 3 inches. The boot I already have built is Huge and could probably accommodate it. We'll see.
Any Comments would be appreicated and Thanks for all the Priceless info all of you provide. It's a great help. Here are some Crappy Cell phone pictures.

All of the Armor I'm happy with (at the moment)
Left Side (Bicep, Forearm, Thigh, Boot)
The boot By Itself
Right Side
Where they are Stored For now (in our Messy apartment)
I'm also going to make a Set of Armor for my Wife when I'm done with mine. The First file I printed out was too small (way to small) and fit her perfectly. Since she put that first piece on she said "If you make one, You have to make me one too!" Pretty sweet. If she didn't have tons of Homework She's be helping.
