So I have been working on a Halo 4/5 Venator build. I have ran into many complications though. The Venator isn't a widely built set so I have had to model and unfold some peices on my own. Since I live in a small town in Tennessee I don't have any access to the EVA foam mats. Thankfully I am going out to get some tomorrow! But I have been hard at work on my helmet. At first I configured my printer wrong so it printed out the helmet too small, I thought that meant I would need to restart but I decided to go with it. Since then I have assembled the paper, resined, and fiberglassed the helmet. It is crazy strong, thanks to the fiberglass (I have used rondo in the past and I'm never using it again). But I am working hard at it and I am going to start the boots (to get a feel for the foam before I start the chest) tomorrow. If anyone has any tips they would be greatly appreciated, and I will continue to update this thread on my build. image.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpg

This looks awsome so far can't wait till it's done it's amazing and I'd love to see this armor built!
I poured a layer of plastic inside of the helmet tonight, but totally forgot to take the pictures. But I now have all the materials I need to start full on on my build and tomorrow will be going strong so pictures will be coming. But thanks so much and support like this really excites and pushes me!

. Small town in Tennessee

What's the town? I used to live in Knoxville for about 10 years and a little bit out in Crossville somewhere in there. Used to get around the area quite a bit.

Pep looks good so far, good luck on continuing!

Soooooo it's been a while. And I have been hard at work on my suit. I ordered a 150$ undersuit that is custom tailored to fit me, and it looks beautiful (I forgot to take pictures of it sorry). The armor itself is 100% assembled from Eva foam and is currently at the end of the painting process. But the helmet is completely finished so I figured I'd show yall. And I'll also include the few pics I have of the foam build.

So the hole to fit my helmet onto my head was too small so I had to dremel it out. So I made bondo pegs with magnets inside of them and drilled out holes in the backplate and added magnets to it. So it is a perfect fit and holds very well. The visor is a blue tinted plastic and I also have wired blue lights into the holes beside the visor. The lights aren't the brightest but I am satisfied with them. It gets quite hot inside of it, but there is no room for a fan so yeah lol. But there she is, and I should have the suit done by the end of the week so I'll update about that later!

So I got all the painting done and I attached the suit to the spandex undersuit. I used velcro and hot glue (directly to me while wearing it, OUCH!). But the hothouse isn't holding the best so I am slowly sewing it onto the suit. But I wasn't satisfied with how it looked because the back and side was open.

So this picture shows the openness the best. But I decided to add a spine, that flexes with my body movement, and a hip piece. Now I know they aren't 100% game accurate but it needed to be done.

So I am pretty happy with the finished project. And I can't wait for the con this weekend!
