Warhammer 40k apothecary Terminator build

Greetings to all on the 405th,
I've been poking around here for awhile looking at the fantastic stuff you guys and gals make here. I recognize a few names from over on therpf site and figured I'd make a thread. This was a year and a half build that I had a blast making. He's made of EVA foam cut from Pepakura files. There's 3d printed parts mixed in with all manner of store bought and scrounged goodies. Enough jawing, here is Brother Lucien of the Deathwing


He stands 7'8"at the top of his gear and makes his own doorways at 54" wide. I've got lots of weapons finished ranging from an auto cannon, a Crozius Arcanum, a pair of lightning claws and several melee weapons and shield in progress. I'll post some more pics shortly, I didn't want to go crazy on the 1st post. Let me know what you think

Thanx Rinzlerr and Rock Lobbster, I appreciate it. Got some goodies for you guys to peruse. I'm working on this storm shield atm. The front I finished today. It's made of exp foam skinned with Eva. It measures 48" tall, 30"wide

The angel was hand carved from exp foam, the wings and details are Eva. The waist charm came from a scrap piece of PVC foam board. The back is finished construction wise, just no paint atm.

I need to get some dark grey for this. Overall this thing weighs about 6lbs. I have some melee weapons that go with this, but all need paint. I'll post some more as they're finished. Lots more arsenal pics to follow. Enjoy

Here's some more arsenal goodies


These are Lightning claws for the uninitiated. They're powered and cut through any kind of armor or heretic, for that matter, like butter. These are 40" tall from cuff to the tip of the longest blade. Made of EVA foam and hand carved exp foam fingers. All the blades are etched with appropriate well wishings to the receiver. Simple LED's and 9v batt for the power up module. I'm currently making some stands for these so I can display them as if Lucien is wearing them. Pics will follow on this, it'll be awesome

Here's some pics of a weapon that I just had to make out of pure Kool factor. It's a Crozius Arcanum. It's not really meant for an apothecary, it's a chaplains weapon meant to bring religion to the heathens!

This is about 40" long, 20" wide made of PVC elec. pipe, Eva foam and 3d printed skulls. The purity ribbon I had special made from a guy on eBay. The handle is leather wrapped and corded. Maybe I need to make a chaplains suit to go with it, lol

Brother Lucien got a manicure today

I finished up the display stands at work today and got them sprayed. These are redicculous to say the least, lol.
Still working on the shield atm. Color is blocked in and commencing weathering

Once the shield is finished, I'm going to make a round display base just like the miniatures. It'll be a custom 1 like the new 1s from Games Workshop

I've already bought some Luan for the base structure. Watch for pics of this, it'll take Lucien up a level

Went a small tangent and finished up some more display stands for the auto cannon

This auto cannon has been waiting a long time to be matched up to its owner. This is the first thing that I made before I started on Lucien. It's about a year and 8 months old when he was finished. Still working on finishing up the rear of the shield. Stay tuned..

Finished the rear of the shield today, here's where is stands.

I'll wind up making a stand for this also. The tip will get crushed otherwise. Too much work in it for that. Also I'll make an extra rod and holder for 1 of the bases so it looks like he's holding it.
Started on the round display base a couple days ago and am making decent progress. Not enough for pics yet

Progress report on the display base for Lucien. Got a lot of the structure done and have been making details for the inside of this base


Here's some of the inside scratch built stuff

There's still a bit more goodies to cram in there to busy it up. I also plan on lighting this from the inside with orange Halloween lights. A smoke projector was also considered (just for a minute, lol). I still need to attach some stanchions for structure and figure out what to clad the outside with. Maybe I can get the Luan to bend around the outside to skin it. We'll see, stay tuned...
