1st Build Where would be best to cut the chest plate and attach buckles? Thank you. Halo 3 Recon on A1 Mini. Pictures attached

I've marked off where I think would be a good place to cut and add the buckles underneath the armor, but as this is my first armor build I was looking to get opinions from people who have completed full armor cosplays. Would these markings be suitable? What has worked for you guys in the past as far as comfortability? I appreciate any input

Strong neodymium magnets are a good option to use but can be tricky to get just right. Back pack clips are a go to for me but on my latest build I used a fabric strap with some velco. I have the hook side in the fabric and the look glued on the back side of the chest right under my arm. Love the recon btw, gonna do a full recon build?

I'll look into some neo magnets, do they align the chest and back plate together well? And yeah I'm working on a full recon suit for a local convention in September. So far I've got the helmet printed and some post processing done, and I've printed everything above the waist.

I've never used magnets to secure a chest, only to mount weapons to my back so I don't honestly know. It would all depend on sting they are and how well they are aligned
