Xbox Live Gamertag Recovery Help

Ok, I went to a friends house the other night, and i recovered my gamer tag.
It was all good. But now im home, im trying to Recover it, but it doesnt let me.
I made sure i put in the correct GT, e-mail and password, it loads, and says something like

"It cannot be done at this time try later

8015D053"


Ive waited for ages, cleared my cache, everything.Nothing is working, please help.

e. On the Windows Live ID Account screen, press the Y button to select Recover with Original Xbox Info.

Note The Recover with Original Xbox Info option will not be available if the gamertag has been recovered to the Xbox 360 console before.

The reason you can't recover it is because you've recovered your data along with the gamertag - Microsoft have set up a system whereby you can only transfer all of your game licenses once per year (this helps cut down on abuse of licenses for XBL:Arcade games and downloaded data).

In other words: you screwed up and now you have to wait a year.

There shouldn't be a problem with recovering an Xbox Live GT from one Console to another. But I can not help you here, my friend.

See my reason above, plus the link - the facts do not lie, disbelieve them or contest them as you wish. Also, get yourself a memory card next time. It's far, far easier than fiddling about with account recovery each time and it prevents this from happening.

Memory card? Surely that defies the point of having a Hard drive....

No Crucible, you're wrong.

You can recover your account 10,000 times.

It's not data transfert like when you get a new console.

XBL is often down for recovery. Wait a few days or Call.

Not really. I have one for taking my profile around just so this sort of problem doesn't happen, and so I know I have everything useful (most recent game saves) backed up in case of failure.

Well your xbox is bad then because mine broke 4 times and I'm always bringing it to my friend's house and get it back at mine.

Yes, you are wrong. You CAN Recover GT's infinite times without any hassle or problems. But his problem seems to be related to an Xbox Server Problem which doesn't allow him to recover it.

It has been said before, just give it a day or two.

Ok i called them up, gave them my details, they said everything was fine,
My Account was Fine, So was my Internet, she said it should be working fine, and she said its something with the XBOX Live Service, So i should just wait a bit longer...

So i guess thats all i can do. Ill just wait now...
