Spartans In 'halo: Reach'

WARNING: THIS THREAD CONTAINS SPOILERS ABOUT HALO: REACHAnd a little bit of pwnage.







After watching it various times, I've compiled all my theories about the Spartans in the trailer. This is what I've come up with.

This is Jorge-052. Obviously, he's Spartan 052. He seems to have some sort of European accent and be an EOD specialist (considering the bulkiness and the armor-scarf). He also has a backpack full of who knows what. He's a foot above everyone else, and probably stronger as well. He also appears to have been seen in the alleged leaked screenshots.

Say hi to CARTER-259. This is the mystery Sierra-259 unit in the first trailer shown at E3. He seems to be the commander in the squad. Not much is known at the moment.

This is the 'Recon' guy in the squad. He wears some sort of Recon/Mark IV helmet. He is the sniper, because he is seen loading a sniper magazine and there is a sniper slung behind him. He keeps his knife on his shoulder.

This is Kat-320. She is an amputee, and has a robotic right arm. Not much else is known about her. She also has a new helmet variant (right).

This one is largely unknown. We know he has a combat knife, which appears very similar to the real life Kukri, and keeps it in a sheath on his shoulder. He also has grenade launcher rounds on his abdomen, which could suggest he is some sort of heavy weapons guy. He could also be CQB, considering the shotgun on his back. He has a very badass skull scratched into his visor. He wears what appears to be an EVA helmet, but it wouldn't really fit the suspected roles.

And last but not least, the 'LoneWolf'. He is the new guy, and probably the guy you play as as he is completely silent throughout the trailer, and he is the only Spartan who's view you see through. Also, you don't see him without his helmet. He seems to wear a standard Mark V helmet and suit, though it's hard to tell what could be 'standard' at this point.







Well, that's my two cents, what do you guys think?

Also, the combat knife the EVA trooper has is actually a Kukri from what I can see. Not much else to add until I've seen it in HD...

With proof the "rook" could be one of grey team from the cole protocol. Look at his armor with the spartan on the cover and you can see some extreme similarities. Most likely a grey team member (he) so its Jai-006 even with the spartan asking if this is "6" so we could be playing as Jai since he is known to be a lone wolf type of spartan that grey team is known for.

I noticed this as well, but it seems all them have similarities with Grey Team's armor. But I'd hold off of the Jai-006 theory, not enough information, in my opinion.

Not really only Jai and Adriana have that armor being grey. With Adriana being grey and a female -(only one being S blue cant be her) So Jai is the only option and has the standard mark 5 armor(other then the revised helmet) And being as he signed up for the position with Noble Team I have a feeling Jai is the spartan to do so.



PS. You might wanna mention SPARTAN-060 who calls out that they are heading to the mission at the end.

And a side note- Seeing as the UNSC still has some form on the planet we can safely say that at that moment John and Kelly are still on the orbital station. And maybe while we are playing the game we see/hear the Pillar of Autumn escape the onslaught.

Good points, but I still don't want to jump to any conclusions about character connections. And I don't know which Spartan-060 your referring to, I think I covered them all. Post a screen-grab of the one you're talking about.

at the end while the "Little Hornets" are flying off you can hear a female say "This is Sierra-060, number 2 is airborne and set for combat insertion", It could be S-Blue but S-blue has an accent and 060 doesn't.

Ahh, I see. I'll add that to the OP. But it seems to my ears that 060 has an accent as well. I don't know, just me.

Great, all the other ones on YouTube were somewhat mediocre quality. Thanks for adding the note.

EDIT: Adding a few more things.



The girl I think would be Spartan-060, since they both have Slavic accents, and it would be to confusing if Bungie put two female Slavic Spartans.

BTW you notice that "6" has no shoulder perms on? its just the bicep armor but his shoulders are exposed.

I had the same speculation about him being Fred, but Sam died in 2525, in the Battle of Chi Cheti.

Could be, ONI does usually like to keep things secret.

That would make sense, but in Ghosts of Onyx, Dr. Halsey admitted that gray team had been out of contact for a few years prior to the Battle of Reach, and were the few Spartans actually thought to be missing in action.

The Halo games tend to break the canon of the books in little ways all the time, so it is still possible that it is a gray team member.
